Inaugural New Orleans Cruise

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Wonder

This cruise far exceeded my expectations and any other cruise I have ever sailed on. We departed from the Port of New Orleans on the Inaugural sailing on February 7, 2020. Our party was 3 adults- 2 adults and our 21 yr. old daughter. This was our first Disney cruise, though I have been to Disney World 64 times, Disneyland, and Disneyland Paris. We had a deluxe family verandah. The cabin was ...

Overpriced Carnival cruise for children

My 3 year old had the time of her life, but I was disappointed. The Disney Oceaneer club for kids was fantastic and the nursery was also good. The adult entertainment and activities were awful. The buffet was better than average, but the main dining room, Pinocchio's Pizza, and the grill was bad to mediocre. If you don't have a rewards status on Disney, you can forget about booking any specialty ...

Captain missed the memo

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Disney Wonder

7 day cruise left us feeling left out and shorted for our money. Captain said winds were too high to port in Jamaica.... never tried again. 4 other cruises were able to port on the same day. So we literally were at sea for no reason missing out on what was promised. If he was able to dock in San Juan (terrible storm) he could have dock in Jamaica. Disappointed with not docking... ...

So disappointing

Our family and friends choose this cruise out of our nearby port of Galveston. We Grandparents are experienced cruisers (52x). This is NOT a luxury cruise, the young kids were not thrilled with the care centers, entertainment ok for kids but very poor for adults, and food was extraordinarily bland and unavailable. Very limited food available after a show for hungry kids waiting for late dining ( ...

The Disney Wonder shines - In great shape for its age

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Disney Wonder

I was on the Wonder before its last major drydock and at the time, found a few deficiencies. After having been on the Magic last summer, I noticed that Disney has been spending a bit more time taking care of the Wonder and the ship appears to be in great shape for a 20-year old ship. This cruise featured a relatively unique Southern Caribbean itinerary for Disney, where they spend less than a ...

Best cruise we've had! Bring on another!

We loved pretty much everything about the cruise we went on. We were a little worried, thinking, how much better can it be over Royal Caribbean. The price was more than double what we could have done on RCI, but our daughter really wanted to go on a Disney cruise, so we gave it a shot. Well, the saying, you get what you pay for, totally fits in this situation. We flew to San Juan a day early ...

Jan 27-Feb 3 Southern Caribbean. This was one of the best Disney Cruises we have been on. The service, food, entertainment, ports and condition of ship are all top notch. This is a smaller boat in the DCL line, however it lacked nothing (except the crowded feeling of larger ships). The shows on this boat are not to be missed, especially Frozen. The kids club does an excellent job of making the ...

Practically perfect in every way

They cost more than a “normal” cruise so we wondered if it would be worth it... The ship is apparently smaller than the newer ones. That said, it was the perfect size for our family with small kids. I think about 2700 guests and almost 1000 cast members weee onboard. There were always new people to see, but we also saw the same people numerous times. It was constantly being cleaned and ...

Beautiful Ship, Fantastic Crew

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Wonder

First Time Cruiser • Age 40s

Activities: I had such high hopes for the Kids club- I particularly liked that Disney allowed all children from 3-12 to be in the same club so my daughters could be together. Unfortunately the clubs were so incredibly large that it was overwhelming for my four year old. She became separated from her older sister and there was not enough staff to help her to find an activity that she could ...

Peaceful wonderful time

This was my 11th cruise and my first time with Disney. I thought the ship was smooth, I hardly felt it moving. I did not feel as if we were over crowded with children and I enjoyed the characters and shows. I loved the fact that there was no a casino on the ship and I did not have to smell the awful smoke. I loved the decor and it seemed the staff was not over worked or cranky. Since my family ...
