We stayed concierge in a one bedroom suite. Overall I would say it wasn’t bad. For starters I have been on other cruises with Silversea and Royal Caribbean but I am not an expert and also never cruised Disney before.
Highlights: service is good everywhere. I felt you could always get a drink or food and the staff did things like hold the door for you or concierge helped me bring back drinks to ...
Embarkation in Miami a bit rocky, the check in was not well staffed in addition to enormous amount of first time cruisers, everyone confused & slow, slow, slow. Stateroom needed much attention lots of patchwork, shower loose and sprayed water from neck, missing caulking to messy over caulked area's and the noise, you could not get away from it on the 8th deck, do not book an stateroom with a ...
We wanted to attend the Merry Time Cruise for the shows, spa, and holiday festivities.
This was a four day girl friend's cruise. I live in Florida and have cruised on Disney and other lines many times before this cruise.
We sailed on the Magic out of Miami for a four day cruise.
Embarkation was delayed.
We had an inside cabin. Cabin was fine in mid-ship. Toilet broke but was ...
First, I want to commend Andy (from Germany) and Michelle (from UK) on impeccable service and hospitality as the concierge hosts. They give everything of themselves every day and are great with children and guests and this is NOT a reflection on them or any other ship staff/cast members for that matter.
But the concierge rooms at $8,500 for 5 days, or 4-5X what others pay, is a complete ...
First let me say that overall we definetly enjoyed the cruise. We were on the Disney Magic, which is approx 17 years old, and this is obvious when you board. Perhaps some of the let down was on me, as I set my expectations based on the Disney brand, hype, and increased costs compared to competitor lines with the same itinerary (allbeit not Castaway Kay but rather their own private island). My ...
We did our first Disney Cruise and expectation were high but it actually turned out to be an average cruise. In my opinion it was overpriced for what was provided. The only advantage of Disney is having the Characters on the boat and if your children are into that than I guess it maybe worth the additional hundreds of dollars. The boat is one of the oldest in the fleet but it was recently ...
The food quality was substandard at best. Most of our meals came out lukewarm, heavily sauced, and over salted. This was consistent throughout the cruise. It's almost as Disney felt that since they were creating the Disney "magical" experience with the characters, that the adults and children wouldn't notice the lack of variety in food, fresh fruit or appetizing meals. I know that children's ...
First of all, I want to start by saying that if you are looking for a vacation that is all things Disney, then you will probably be satisfied w/ a Disney cruise. In my case, my husband and I fell in love w/ cruising after our first Carnival cruise to the western Caribbean a couple of years ago and we wanted to share the experience w/ our children. We chose Disney because it was the most kid ...
Cabin- Nice size. Love the split bath. Bring your own hairdryer! There are no irons in the room and you have to go to the laundry room to wait in line. Don't wait until right before dinner. Having a verandah was a smart move- so nice to get away from the crowd if need be. Our cabin steward was great.
Food-I thought the food was nice but not great. If you are used to dining in good restaurants ...
Eastern Caribbean, 7-night - February 14, 2009
The Magic is a wonderful ship and, although I'm not a big fan of Mickey and the gang, we had a great Eastern Caribbean cruise experience. In fact, that could be the name for DSL's next new ship - the Disney Experience.
At the end of this cruise we were sad that it was finished - I guess that is how you should feel after a good cruise. I ...
