For the price, my family and I were disappointed with our first ever Disney Cruise.
Pros:
1) We really enjoyed the shows. The Frozen performance, in particular, was spectacular! It was truly Broadway-caliber!
2) The rotating dinner was very special. You rotate between three restaurants: Triton's, Tatiana's Place, and the Animator's Palate. Each had a different type of cuisine and really ...
This was my family of 4's (2 kids, 14, 10) first cruise, so we did it up big with a concierge level room. While significantly more expensive than the standard room, we chose concierge primarily so that we could get a cabana on Castaway Cay (which we did). Here are the pluses:
The concierge lounge is a nice, quiet place to slip away to for a quick coffee, snack or drink. Not that you can't get ...
This was my second Disney cruise (first was on the Dream) and I have to say that overall, this one was a disappointment. I would honestly give it 2.5 stars but I rounded up; my husband who loves all things Disney gave it 3 stars. We traveled with our 2 school aged children and my parents in 2 interior staterooms.
No problems with embarkation. We arrived late (3pm) because we spent the day at ...
We took the Disney Wonder since it's one of two Disney ships we had not sailed on. It was a mini vacation to relax for 3 nts.
Pros:
The ship is old but the upgrades they did make it look new.
As everything Disney, the staff is very friendly and the design was beautiful.
There are a lot of activities for kids and adults can enjoy trivia
The condition of the ship is worn a little, ...
This was our 15th cruise; we did several Carnival, Celebrity, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean and finally we decided to waste our money and see what Disney Cruises are all about. Not worth the price!!!
Pros: Fast and easy embarkation and disembarkation. 5 mins each, not exaggerating.
Kids club is open till midnight
Love the dining option of going from one restaurant to the other and have ...
Two older women on a Disney Cruise with no children was a recipe for disappointment.
First, boarding in Miami was our first mistake. What a disaster! From the chaos at MIA to the ridiculously absurd directions to the port, to the end of the trip and waiting 7 hours in MIA for a plane because we had to be off the ship by 9:30 am, we were very aware that whoever operates this cruise, has never ...
I was very excited to sail with Disney on the Wonder. As a Disney Vacation Club member for almost 25 years, I had visited their parks numerous times. As a cruise lover, with almost 20 cruises under my belt, I was very interested in checking out the accessibility features of the Disney ships (knowing that Disney sets the standard for accessibility and comfort for the disabled at their parks). I ...
We have traveled on four different cruise lines and have been reluctant to book a Disney cruise since we have no young children. I have always wanted to visit Key West so when we found this cruise, thought we would give it a try. We are DVC members and enjoy the Disney parKs. My husband and my 22 year old daughter joined me. It was a four day cruise to Castaway Cay, Nassau and Key West. ...
Although we are Disney nuts, and have never cruised on another line, this cruise was disappointing enough that we cancelled a future cruise with DCL and have decided to try another line. Also looking at a second different line for an additional cruise. We still had a great time, but on this cruise we did begin the process of thinking about value for money. That process continued for a couple of ...
Pros
Overall food was excellent. The breakfast and Lunch Buffets are the best, the sit down at night was satisfying. Though I did not like eating at the Parrot restaurant two nights in a row. Our server was very nice, she gave us free samples to try and was very helpful and caring with out kids.Portions were small so I recommend ordering multiple items.
The shows were first class, kids did not ...
