Grand Voyage Abu Dhabi to Genoa

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on MSC Fantasia

As my partner and I have always wanted to see Petra and enjoy cruising with MSC, we thought this would be an ideal opportunity to take an extended holiday that would cover both, and also spend my partner’s birthday onboard. We’ve written several reviews of MSC Fantasia and MSC Splendida in the past, so I’ll try not to repeat the same information again, as already written about the sparkly ...

Dubai to Genoa - a Very Pleasant Cruise with an Interesting Itinerary

OVERALL - Very good value, we thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and would consider MSC in future. We heard some comments from more experienced MSC cruisers suggesting that the ship was not as good as others in their fleet, but from our viewpoint (with experience of numerous other lines) we found little to be unhappy about. MAIN DINING ROOM – meals were mostly good, sometimes excellent and ...

WORST CRUISE EXPERIENCE OF THE 25 WE HAVE TAKEN

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Fantasia

First dinner night was stunned to find that you had to pay for water and tea or coffee. It is impossible to get a place around the pools. People were getting up at 04:30 to put their stuff on chairs. Continuous selling on board of drink packages etc. Unable to cancel an excursion without going to ships doctor (we were told that it would cost 70 to 80 Euros) this when we were not feeling well. tour ...

Dubai to Civitavecchia in Yacht Club

I'm sorry I don't have time to write a lengthy detailed review of our cruise in the Fantasia's Yacht Club. Actually we were on board for a total of 25 days in that we had a one week Persian Gulf cruise Dubai-Dubai before embarking on the Dubai-Civitavecchia repositioning cruise. Yacht club is a fantastic experience and I'd be hard pressed to find anything negative to report. Our cabin (15002) ...

Hi. I thought I'd write a review of our recent voyage as it would appear at times that only negative reviews seem to to be posted. So here goes: My Wife and I chose this cruise to celebrate our anniversary. Neither of us had sailed with MSC before, although for comparison we have sailed with Princess, P&O, NCL and Celebrity Nor had we visited the Middle-East. All reviews are subjective I ...

Never Again MSC

Review for a Middle East Cruise on MSC Fantasia

The answer to the heading is a big FAT NO! Not even for free. It's not the ship that has the faults even though it does need an overhaul, quite dated and looking old. It's the staff and the incredible bad food. The staff overall are dame right rude. If you ever go to reception and ask advise they are patronising and ignorant. I asked why the slide hadn't opened in the first to days? ...

'The Ship that rarely moved'

This was our second MSC cruise having been on the MSC Opera in 2015. The transfer from Abu Dhabi airport to the port was extremely disorganised. We couldn't believe how many people were crowding together outside the airport after landing at 6.00am. Nobody seemed to know what was happening. However we did make it to the ship and by 9.00 am were eating breakfast in Zanzibar. No problem in ...

Very Bad Customer Service

Review for a Middle East Cruise on MSC Fantasia

Customer Service: Very Bad Customer Service, if you book Cruise ticket third party, MSC doesn't responding correctly/. Customer service people don't have knowledge regarding third party sellers (ex: Seascanner). They don't accept Third party sellers mail proofs, they say only MSC emails, and don't know third party sellers. but they received the ticket money! Dining: Buffet is very good, ...

Myself along with my wife, son and family had a holiday by MSC Fantasia Cruise ship from 11 to 18 March 2017 from Dubai and back to Dubai. This was something tremendous I can imagine. we were booked in Deck 10 Sogno and Deck 5 Fantasia. Once I had a ship sailing from Penang, Malaysia to Madras India in the year 1971 or so by S S Rejula a passenger ship between Madras and Penang. I was lucky ...

Arabian Adventure onboard MSC Fantasia

This was our 2nd sailing with MSC. Fantasia is just as beautiful as Splendida, with a good layout with plenty of space and is very impressive. We chose this as we saw it as an ideal way of visiting the United Arab Emirates and Oman. Food and drink: Always a subjective topic, but we enjoyed what we ate. The main dining room was well staffed and enjoyable. There is plenty of choice but 2nd ...
