No More MSC for Us

Review for a Middle East Cruise on MSC Musica

We chose this cruise on itinerary and dates. However will never sail with MSC again because there is so much missing compared to other cruise lines. We had bought the drinks package thankfully because you couldn't even have a glass of water with dinner without paying. Nor was coffee served in the dining room after dinner. Nor was there a water fountain in the gym! The ship itself is lovely, clean ...

Although I have experienced some of the ports of call in the past (on a Suez transit to Dubai on QM2) I wanted to experience a 'standard' 7-day Dubai returned trip. And in my opinion MSC is better than Costa and RCI that also operate here, though Aida may be interesting as an alternative choice. It is always a pleasure to start the cruise in Dubai, a destination of high interest. MSC Musica ...

We did not pay much attention to reviews about MSC Musica until after we already booked a cruise and got quite upset in our choice of MSC, but still hoped for better experience with them. Yet, we were prepared for average (or even below average) cruise experience... HOWEVER, we were struggling to find any flaws! My husband and I are still quite surprised that people had anything to complain ...

Only booked this for the destination really and to try msc as we have never sailed with them before and after this experience we wont ever again ! Whilst the ship itself was lovely that's the only thing that could be said was good about it, The service was virtually none existence. All the staff ( with the exception of the cabin steward) looked totally miserable and as though they didnt want to be ...

This was our first cruise ever, so we went with no preconceived ideas and no expectations. We chose the cruises mainly on price, it was cheap and it went to interesting places in the Middle East that I wanted to go to. We knew we would be off the boat most days and to us it was just a floating hotel. Embarkation was good and quick and we arrived on board straight away after arriving at the ...

By this I mean you have to PAY for water, even in the dining room. It's free in the buffet restaurant, but that's the only place. Even the gym doesn't have water fountains! There are no fresh flowers anywhere (they're plastic) and the only speciality restaurant was a sushi bar (not many takers there!). The food in the buffet was generally warm when it was supposed to be hot and the selection ...

Lovely ship, lovely decor, great staff and quick embarkation . Those are the only good comments I can make on this cruise.. The food choice was poor and the standard of the cooking was poor. Some of the meat was very tough.I love desserts but the choice was really basic. As for the buffet poor food ,too many people, not enough seats and tables not cleared quick enough. I have been on ...

First time on MSC. Cabin on deck 5 (5064) was so noisy it was impossible to sleep. It took 3 days of complaining before we were moved. Once moved to deck 8 the cabin was fine. Buffett restaurant was not good, very difficult to find a seat at breakfast. Main restaurant was okay with a good selection of food. However, all water had to be purchased and no tea or coffee served in the main ...

This was my maiden trip on a cruise and was absolutely mind blowing experience. Since I was travelling with my mother, I must say I was bit apprehensive given the health conditions of both of us, but that fear did not deter us from embarking on this wonderful journey. The decor inside the cruise resembled of a 7 star hotel and can give a run for their money on every front. The staff were well ...
