Small ship but ok, terrible entertainment

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

We chose this ship as we were very tight on dates and it was a good deal for what we were able to do. The ship is small and old but overall well maintained and rooms (we had a j suite) seem nice enough. The embarkation process was smooth despite I forgot I had "the key" and could have skipped some lines. The staff on board is just amazing: everyone is always silencing, helpful and they ...

Fabulous itinerary - ship needs retiring though

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

Pros: Loved the ports - beware though tendering at Zakynthos; unless you had a ship tour booked you could wait 3 hours plus to get off (we gave up) But the ships tours WERE very good and would recommend. I had the “key” package and loved the little perks (great WiFi!) Food - excellent food in MDR and service (buffet not so good - food often tepid and dining area itself is dismal ...

I have been on the Empress, Freedom, Enchantment with upcoming cruises on Celebrity Ascent and Radiance. Enchantment has been my least favorite. I will say that the service was good. Drinks were good as well as the ports. This cruise was more about the itinerary than the ship. I would never recommend this ship to just be on the ship. Issues Cabins. Very dated. We were in a Junior Suite. ...

Everybody got sick

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the cruise itself was OK. I say surprised because 2 Royal cruises were on last year were pretty bad. On this cruise food in the MDR was ok, not great but acceptable. A couple of misses but in general OK. I was concerned that they removed the always offered items however we were always able to find something. I even thought the coffee was OK. ...

Great Destinations; mediocre ship

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

We had always heard Royal Caribbean was the top of the line when it came to cruise ships. So, we decided, this time, to try one. It was a nice cruise but definitely not a step up from Celebrity or Norwegian. The little things were missing, not many dining venues were offered, requests for dining time changes were frowned upon (and actually made us feel awkward — we were a party of only 2!),…We ...

A good ship for those who enjoy cruising on smaller, older ships

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

I chose this cruise because I wanted to try cruising on an older, smaller cruise ship with my kids. I saw a relatively cheap cruise from Baltimore, Maryland and booked it. My kids were a little disappointed as they were expecting to go on one of the newer cruise ships, but, nevertheless, they had a great time onboard. We entered the ship in the atrium, which really amazed us. For the size and age ...

At least I was able to see Charleston. Hurricane Nicole cancelled Coco Cay

Wanted to see Charleston SC and Coco Cay. It was ok and Poogan Porch was nice. I forgot my credit card and had some cash but not enough for whole bill. I am sending them the difference. Really didn't do a lot on the ship. Broadway shows were fine but I am not into variety and comics. The pool area is small, 2 pools so all the kids were in it most of the time. The solarium was fine but I like more ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

This was my first time on Royal. Probably will be my last unless I get a really cheap deal. The overall experience was average. Some things were fantastic, like the crew. I can't believe how happy, friendly and helpful all of the crew were. Food was below par, worst of any cruise I've been on. In the MDR, most of the food came out cold on the first night. We informed the wait staff and they ...

A Big Disappointment

Disappointing Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas - July 14, 2022 I have been cruising since the 1960’s and mainly on RCCL since the 1980’s, being a Diamond Plus now. I recently sailed on the Enhancement from Baltimore which is a great port to sail from. I had a balcony cabin. It was the biggest disappointment of all my cruises. The ship is almost 25 years old and is worn and tired. It has ...

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

Had a good 5-night cruise to Bermuda on Enchantment of the Seas from 9 July to the 14th. It was a bit frustrating to deal with all the pre-board health issues and requirements for getting into Bermuda (yes, I understand the importance and in the end it was a bit of a relief to know everyone else had to through the same thing). Embarkation at Baltimore was fine, although we had go through a ...
