A Bit of Something for Most Everyone

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Caribbean Princess

This was a spur of the moment decision to take this So. Fl to Quebec Cruise up the entire Eastern US Coast and over all our experience was very, very positive. I was very surprised when I learned that the ship had over 3,000 passengers because it certainly rarely felt that way. We decided to eat all 3 of our meals at the Buffet which enabled me and the wife to get exactly what we wanted since we ...

Good cruise with some exceptions

We booked this cruise to pick up a couple of ports we had not previously visited, including Norfolk, Virginia, and Newport, Rhode Island. The cruise was smooth, although there was a slight vibration in some parts of the ship, including in our cabin. Not enough of a vibration to bother us. Issues: 1. The ship was late in arriving at Ft. Lauderdale (high winds in the DR, the previous ...

Great Itinerary- a few hiccups

First cruise on Princess, normally cruise on Norwegian. Princess had good food (steak and lobster one night), serve smaller portions so you can try more things and the comedians on board were really good. Live shows tended to be geared to an older crowd. Ship itself was good and easy to navigate except for which way to go below deck (Norwegian has fish on the carpet swimming towards the front). ...

Princess cutbacks hurt

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Island Princess

This cruise was quite telling about the degree of cutbacks Princess is implementing trying to regain financial stability at the expense of decreasing the quality of goods and services provided. At first, it did not make too much of a difference in not having any stationary or writing instrument in the cabin but then the soap bars disappeared. Now with the new medallions for the medallion class ...

Worst Cruise I've Ever Been On - Do Not Book This Ship

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Island Princess

I booked this cruise because it went to Iceland. Little did I know that it was an "old" ship that had a myriad of problems and a staff that was clearly not putting the guest first. I've never been under house arrest, but I expect this was pretty close - wearing the tracking device, having no say in anything and having to just shut up and put up. From noise that kept me up at night (got my ...

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Octantis

We have done two river cruises with Viking in prior years, Danube and Rhone rivers and enjoyed both immensely. This year is our fortieth anniversary and our eightieth year and were looking for a longer cruise than a river cruise as well as one that did not have long hours in a cramped coach airplane. The ports of call for the cruise were interesting; Charleston, SC, Norfolk, VA, New York, NY, ...

Beautiful, well designed ship and the captain was everywhere

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Octantis

We have previously sailed several times on Viking's 900+ passenger ocean ships and when Viking told us of a sale on several itineraries on their small expedition ship (376 passengers), we looked at this one and chose it. The ship is beautiful. We selected a deluxe balcony room which was the best room available on sale but were concerned that, because it was smaller than the "penthouse" we usually ...

The best cruise experience that I ever had.

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Viking Octantis

I have wanted to try Viking for several years. When presented with the opportunity in late December 2022, to take a 16 day cruise from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Toronto, Canada with free airfare and the silver drink package, I jumped on it. I had heard from friends and the person that cut my hair that Viking was a very good cruise company. But I found out that they much better than good - ...
