First Viking Ocean Voyage

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Viking Star

My trip on the Viking Star was fabulous and exceeded my expectations. The food in the World Cafe was exceptional and we ate there for dinner for 6 of our 14 nights. We also dined at Manfredi's and the Italian food was very good. However, the real gem is the Chef's Table--gourmet dining at its best! It's a 5 course dinner with 4 wine pairings. You sit back and enjoy the food experience as ...

Stellar 14-Night Atlantic Crossing!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Viking Star

I'm a seasoned cruise afficionado, and I can't sing high enough praises about Viking, the staff, the crew, the food, the entertainment, the lectures, the amenities, the activities, and the overall experience. I have never been more impressed with the design of a ship, the ambiance, the level of service, and the variety in cuisine that we experienced on the Star. Our cabin was more spacious and ...

No activities….boring

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Evrima (Ritz-Carlton)

The ship is gorgeous , the most beautiful ship I have ever been to The cabins are beautiful, but not very practical. The food is quite good, but the service in the restaurants tends to be slow The are almost NO ACTIVITIES!, no lectures, no shows, not even tea-time When we made a comment about the lack of activities onboard, we were told that the concept here is different, this is ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Viking Sky

This was my very first ocean cruise. I had specific requirements in my search for the right cruise. I wasn’t interested in a party atmosphere with loud disco music, I wanted to avoid children running around the ship, and I wasn’t interested in spending time with gambling or casinos. I wanted a cruise with diverse dining options in restaurants that didn’t require me to become best friends with a ...

A Delightful Cruise on Viking Sky

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Viking Sky

The wife and I just returned from an extremely enjoyable 10 days aboard Viking Sky, traveling from Ft. Lauderdale to Panama City, Panama. While this was our first ocean cruise in over 15 years, (our previous was on another cruise line), it got us very interested in doing this type of travel more frequently in the future. The crew and staff onboard our ship, to a person, were beyond friendly and ...

We enjoyed every aspect of our experience on the Sky. Communication, food, enrichment, entertainment, cruise team, organization, room steward and service - all were very good. The activities offered were varied and inclusive - opportunities for those traveling alone, those in recovery, those of different religious faiths and lifestyles. The staff did a great job of organizing and disembarking ...

Are other reviewers delusional?

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Viking Sky

Viking gets stellar reviews, which is why I booked this. Perhaps an "off " cruise? Beyond disappointing. Let's be clear; Viking is, in no way, a luxury cruise line. First the good: the ship is lovely, the food is very good and the crew are wonderful, with the exception of Guest Services. There were so many passengers complaining on this trip, I imagine they felt themselves overworked. They ...

Panama Canal ,our bucket list. Most of the shore excursions were interesting, The ruins in Belize, and seeing Costa Rica , Colon,& Roatan, were ok. ATV s in Cozemel are more our speed. Most of the sites were geared to people with limited mobility. Was hoping to see more religious sites and churches as most of Central America are Catholic. Also most of the guides were very knowledgeable. Would have ...

Going through the Panama Canal was bucket list item for me, and since we had a great experience on Viking several years ago (Barcelona to Rome) decided to book again. First all the pluses(and they are mostly pluses) Viking has top notch customer service, both pre boarding and on the ship. Incredibly friendly staff. Really nice touches like the covered patio area on the upper deck to shade ...

Essentially a reposition cruise, Artic to Antarctic. At sea days punctuated with short drive-by visits to out-of-the-way locations where there little to see or do.

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Silver Cloud Expedition

This was essentially a reposition cruise, Artic to Antarctic, but was not advertised as such. Ship is old and very much showing her age, significant water leak into observation lounge during rain storms, several cabins flooded due to air conditioning leaks, many areas of ship were quite warm on hot days. Too many stops, for too little time at each stop, focus was on quantity not quality. At ...
