"That being said, this being my first RC cruise I would not return to this ship and am unsure I will be booking with RC in the future. We encountered very rough seas on the last night of our cruise to the point of the ship tilting and water coming into several decks...."Read More

Great First Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Voyager of the Seas

This was my first cruise. I had a seasoned cruiser leading the way. She made all the reservations for our group of 7 girls. The food was good. Not blow your socks off amazing, but good. We ate dinner in the dining room each night and the Windjammer buffet every day for lunch. The buffet is huge, too many choices. So it's great for picky eaters. I thought the buffet food was good. My ONLY 2 issues ...

This cruise was out of Galveston so we could drive to the port. Our daughter alerted our family to the "kids sail free" special so there were 8 adults, and 7 children: 11, 8, 6,5, 2 1/2, 16 months and 11 months. They discovered that "any time dining" meant that you could not go to the dining room until 6:45 p.m. or later and a reservation was required. The buffet did not have a kid friendly ...

The experience was memorable because of the world class customer service. The dining room staff were very diligent. The room service staff were excellent. The common areas were well taken care of. All staff members were very responsive and went over the call of duty to help make client comfortable. The pre cruise experience was great. I was kept informed of potential client board ...

We sailed two years ago on the voyager during Christmas and new year weeks. It was a back to back cruise. It included a sauna and steam room. They have been recently taken out(no more steam or sauna) and a large number of new cabins were added to accommodate more guests. The gym has been downsized. They have moved the crown and anchor from the 14th deck to deck 5 in the old card room It almost ...

Cruise: Voyager of the Seas 2/19/24 5-days from Galveston to Costa Maya and Cozumel. Who: My DH, DD, DD's best friend who we invited along to keep her company, DD's best friend's parents who decided to come too, and of course me. For my family this was our first cruise, for DD's best friend I think that was her third, for the other parents they cruise once or twice a year. ...

Not a fun first-time cruise

Our food was really good and the staff handling the food & taking care of our room was fantastic! We were not able to dock at our first port due to high winds & seas. That was the only excursion we has planned unfortunately. We were reimbursed for it but it was still very disappointing. Then we were lucky enough to be involved in the storms on 01/26/24 (videos all over the internet) that ...

This ship has potential but needs more cosmetic upkeep and money put into the productions held on the ship. Shows costumes and choreography for example, were very notably outdated to the point it felt distracting from the amazing talent of the performers. Internet connection was very spotty and poor throughout the cruise especially when on the bottom decks. Definitely not worth what you are ...

This was my first cruise since the COVID-19 pandemic, and I can surely say that Royal Caribbean has not only maintained its excellent service, but it has improved remarkably. I travelled with my siblings, cousins, and grandfather, the youngest in the party being 13 and the oldest, 80. We all left satisfied with our trip and are looking forward to book again with Royal soon. The embarkation ...

Overall a great experience

I selected this cruise because it was out of Galveston and the dates lined up with what I wanted. I put blind trust into the hope I would enjoy the experience. I find that all reviews have to be sorted through to understand what to trust or not trust. Any vendor, ship, resort, product or whatever I am interested in has reviews written by very negative people or people planted to write reviews to ...

Disappointed first time on Royal

We have taken several cruises but this was the first time with Royal Caribbean and a lot of our friends had a lot of good things to say about Royal however it was not the case for us. We did a quick 4 night cruise out of Galveston. We went in December which was also a first we typically go in summer. I can say Royal has the embarking and disembarking process down pack. It took us ~10min ...
