Our embarkation was in Guadeloupe which does not give you many options from Canada. But learning that it is a French island flights from Montreal are direct and worth going. Costa did not offer transfers from airport to ship but a taxi ride was 20. Euro and if you can share it's a good deal. Overall a very good cruise with tending to excellence for me as a single passenger. Boarding was a bit delayed, because of some officials for boarder control hadn’t been in time, but however I was onboard within 35 minutes from official start of boarding. Embarkation in Guadeloupe was a complete and utter disgrace, Costa ground crew where unhelpful, rude, arrogant and showed no respect or compassion to its paying customers.
