We were really impressed by the staff and the vessel from the moment we boarded the Jayavarman. All facilities on board were excellent. Our cabin was well serviced with clean linen at all times and little surprises on the bed at the end of each day. The dining experince was over and above what we had expected. Our table was excellently serviced by the delightful Moni and others. We would certainly ...

This was a small boat cruise maximum 52 cabins. The cabins were beautiful with own balcony and bathroom , We traveled up the Mekong river from Vietnam to Cambodia. We had twice daily on shore excursions and got to explore and experience the real river village life. The guides were brilliant and knowledgeable about their country . I have cruised many times and even worked on cruises as a performer, so I really know what I like and dislike. The ship was beautifully clean and really looked the part. Rooms were large with lovely decor and well designed. Bathroom was great and loved the design of the shower doors - so practical. Dining room was beautiful and we had reserved private dining which was a real treat for my wife ...

We wanted to experience the culture and beauty of Vietnam, Cambodia and the Mekong Delta; and what better way than on a beautiful river boat. The Jayavarman is just that. The staff was excellent and we were spoiled for the entire week. Nim, Panny and Makara were delightful. The cabin decor was elegant with adequate space, and a veranda with wonderful views. Amazing sunrises and sunsets. The ship's ...

Like Travelling on the Orient Express

Review for a Asia Cruise on Jayavarman

Cruising the Mekong in his small ship is like being on the Orient Express except you are afloat. Cruising the Mekong is probably the best way to see the vibrancy, colour and rhythms of life that the Vietnamese and Cambodian people have been following for generations. Here you experience slices of life and photographic opportunities every minute to capture the essence of Vietnam and ...

Review for a Asia Cruise on Angkor Pandaw

First Time Cruiser • Age 70s

Joined the ship in Saigon for a 3 night / 4 day cruise to Phnom Penh. Cost was approximately £500 (GBP) per night for a double cabin. Passengers met for registration at the Intercontinental Asiana in Saigon. It was disappointing that Pandaw did not arrange for coffee to be available during what turned out to be a 2 hour wait for transport to the ship. Not a good first impression. That said, ...

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

In taking a slightly longer trip on the QM2 this year my wife and I were wondering if it would live up to last year's memories. Fortunately on neither voyage have we come across the 'moaning mingers' who seem to populate the pages of many review websites. Why do so many people fail to realise that "ask (politely) and staff will try hard to please .. moan, complain and you'll find yourself on your ...

Just got back from a Canaries cruise aboard the Independence of the seas.Accomodation was fine and overall appearence was good.Biggest let down was the evening meal in the main dining hall.Food was bland and limited, lacking any sort of imagination especially for a cruise line. The service in the dining room was dreadful again when comparing with other cruise companies. On my eleven night cruise my ...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is an unvarnished subjective review of my recent Viking river cruise on the Mekong on the RV Tonle. Viking is the most recent of a number of tour companies that contract the Pandaw river boats for their vacation packages. We had taken Viking cruises in China and Russia and enjoyed them very much, so we had no ...
