This was a bucket list cruise for my wife which included our wedding anniversary so a lot of thought and planning went into it or so we thought. It turned out our anniversary was on the day we crossed the international date line and thus disappeared!
We rented a house in Honolulu for 8 days before boarding and for those who say the island is not worth spending time on I would refute that. We ...
After a wonderful experience on the Solstice last year we booked - at more money per day - on the Millennium from Ensanada to Hawaii and then on to Sydney.
What a disappointment and its not the ship. The Cruise Director was on an ego trip, he failed to properly direct his staff and only wanted to tell everybody that they were having a good time
we had a small issue which , frankly he wasn't ...
A little about us, we were part of 14 Aussies who spent time in Hawaii before boarding this lovely lady of the sea. My daughter and I arrived early and spent 8 days staying at the Outrigger Waikiki, I have stayed there previously on 6 occasions and can say that it is location, location.
Our cruise left Honolulu 11pm Sat 2nd Nov 2013. We arrived a little later than most to board, approx 2.30ish and ...
We did 3 back to back cruises aboard the Millennium: from Honolulu to Sydney; Sydney to Singapore; and Singapore to Hong Kong.
The greats:
1.The Elite Club was fantastic: great happy hour each day (ok two hours) with complimentary adult beverages and hot and cold hors d'oeuvres. The hostess, Rose , was especially good.
2.The itinerary was good (that's why we choose the cruises). One ...
As this was our 2nd cruise we where looking forward to enjoying our trip, the first on Celebrity Century was great, but unfortunately this was POOR when you compare the 2 cruises. We upgraded from Veranda Stateroom to Concierge Veranda Stateroom our room was of a poor standard, curtains coming of the rails, handles coming off the doors, it was eventually rectified but unfortunately a little too ...
We embarked at 4 pm on 2 November at Honolulu with departure scheduled for 11 pm. Luckily we did not try to embark earlier as other passengers told us that there was a total blockage at around 1 pm. Things went downhill from there. A suitcase was still missing at 10 pm when Emergency Drill was announced. The muster station shown on the cabin door was entirely different to that shown on our cabin ...
I cruised on the Millennium for a Transpacific cruise that departed Honolulu at the end of October 2013. I can't talk highly enough about this ship. Absolutely loved dining in the main dining room, the quality and variety of food was fantastic. Wait staff were attentive and friendly.
We ate twice in the Olympic restaurant (divine!) and I celebrated my 40th birthday on the last night of our cruise ...
After having sailed on 63 cruises, many having been with Celebrity, I can truly say it will take a great deal of convincing to book another cruise with them. I have never been as prompted as I am now to warn and recommend to people to not book a cruise with celebrity or on the Millenium. IN SUMMARY, the issues began with check in in Honolulu. The bus literally dropped us in the parking lot where ...
The November 2 Hawaii -- Australia trip was our 3rd aboard Millennium (our 9th sailing on Celebrity) and the first since the ship was "Solstice-ized". There were several noticeable changes aboard ship; some good, some bad. Qsine replaced the solarium/flower shop on deck 11. The food, service and space were similar to the Qsine aboard Eclipse. It was a good addition to dining choices, but we wished ...
My husband, sister and I spent a wonderful 12 nights onboard the Millenium on a repostioning, ocean crossing adventure! We had read disturbing information about the condition of the Millenium, but was happy to see she was in great shape, even though she was going in for an update right after our cruise was over. Our room was always clean and well cared for and all public areas were immaculate. ...
