It started to go wrong on the second evening at dinner. Three people on my table had the lamb which came with shards of bone in each mouthful. The Maitre D was not bothered. The cruise became steadily worse. We were never offered coffee after dinner. In Lisbon the whole of my coach asked for the tour to be ended early by taking us back to the ship. We chose this cruise for a little autumn sun in the Canary Islands and having been on Silhouette before in the Caribbean saw it as the perfect fit--or so we thought.
The ship was full--perhaps too full and I would say the average age of cruiser was easily 70 plus.
The positives;
Room attendant was very very good as always and a credit to themselves.

We sailed on Solstice in the first season followed by Eclipse shortly afterwards. During the next 10 years we sailed on several other cruise lines but returned to Celebrity choosing it not for the line but for the ports of call.
