Don’t cruise with Norwegian

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Epic

We were a group of 19 people and wanted to cruise and visit the Azores and Bermuda on our transatlantic cruise. We ended up 9 days at sea with no stops in port. The only compensation we received was a $200 non refundable on ship credit. There was not much for entertainment onboard but the crew were great. This cruise sucked and I would not recommend it to anyone. The food was mediocre but ...

Norwegian Not So Epic

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on Norwegian Epic

The ultimate drinks package at $79.95 per day is dreadful value. You can't get water coffee or juice. The rooms are a really bad design with a sink at the end of bed and glass doors on both toilet and shower. When our cabin attendant knocked we couldn't answer the door or my husband would have been on show to anyone passing. Book everything before you travel or you won't be able to see ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

Our cruise aboard Norwegian Epic got off to a bad start by NCL shortening the cruise from 7 nights to 6 nights from Southampton to Barcelona. NCL promised they would pay for accommodation in Southampton the night before the cruise, so we didn't have to change travel arrangements, we are still awaiting this refund. Two suitcases were given to the porters at Southampton to be sent to our cabin, ...

Getting on was a nightmare. I have cruised many times from Southampton and never has I experienced such disarray. I am mobility impaired following an accident 2 years ago. Although I can walk boarding and un-boarding are a problem and my insurance provider will only cover if I have assistance. I was second in the area provided for people needing assistance and second to leave some 3 hours ...

Great Fun on a Newly Refurbished Ship!

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Epic

We first sailed on the Epic nearly 5 years ago when she was new. After spending 3 weeks in dry dock, she is young and new once again! This was a 6 day Iberian Peninsula repositioning cruise from Southampton to Barcelona calling at Vigo Spain, Lisbon Portugal, Cartagena Spain, and Barcelona Spain. Embarkation: Southampton is not a normal embarkation port for NCL. This, combined with the ship ...

Just returned from an excellent trip on the Epic, boarding at Southampton after its recent dry dock. I have to say that I completely disagree with many of the reviews for this ship and its staff. My wife and I found it to be fantastic and brilliant value, especially on a late booking with the free drinks package included. Highlights included the entertainment, which was especially good ...

Not smooth sailing

Review for a Spain Cruise on Norwegian Epic

This was a bit of a last minute booking by us in July and things were certainly eventful leading up to the sailing date. Communication has been a major issue throughout, starting with no formal notification of a change in itinerary from 7 to 6 nights, an earlier departure time than first indicated and the reimbursement for our lost day. Anyway, we planned to make the most of what we considered ...

So much food and entertainment, so little time!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Epic

We were very excited to have the opportunity to go on the Inaugural sailing of the NCL Epic. Because of school, we normally are not available to do a Transatlantic, so we were thrilled about doing this trip in June. We were lucky enough to get a Courtyard Villa that had been cancelled by someone else, so even more excitement at checking out the Courtyard area. I will start by saying that this ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Epic

I was very much looking forward to this inaugural transatlantic crossing on a brand new ship. The hype had been going on for months. I had gone eastbound 3 weeks earlier on the QM2 and had enjoyed every minute of it. Now, I was hoping to relive that experience, but on a more casual basis, without having to "dress up" so many nights. I had also booked the studio room, and was thrilled that a ship ...
