This was our 2nd time on the Joy the first time in Haven this time balcony plus. Which is bigger bathroom. Overall the ship was clean after the 3 week drydock. Due to weather and rough seas we spent most of our time inside. The activities were very limited and usually basic bean bag toss, language lessons and trivia in the atrium. My wife and I sailed a Transatlantic cruise after the Joy came out of a 3-week dry dock. We have sailed 30-35 times, mostly on Celebrity and Azamara. Last NCL sailing was 2016. This specific crossing was 60% of capacity.

Lets start with the good stuff: The new design of the cabins is fantastic. Lots of space, very functionnal and great decor.
As usual on NCL, quality of the food is outstanding, great crew, great service. The Hudson main dining room is fabulous and the improved fixed menue have lots of choices.

We loved the decor of the ship cream , blue and touches of gold - modern and beautiful.
The layout of the public spaces is clearly a change from what we expected as regular NCL cruises and not without problems. There are small spaces I guess to spread out passengers. Public areas were crowed with occupancy at 65%. In warm weather I think the spaces during the day will work well.
