Crew is amazing!

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

The crew have been handpicked for the ultimate world cruise and it shows. They are bending over backwards to bring unique experiences, cultural shows, destination briefings, etc. The company has created some frustrations through inconsistent policies towards people doing same types of sailings (ex, offering discounts to those paying in advanced but not applying this equally to clients), and on ...

OK, but not great

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Island Princess

We chose the Half World cruise as a way to escape winter and to get to the Arab countries where we wanted to tour. Cruising is always pleasant and so my rating is relative to other cruises we've done. Generally the food was ok (what you might expect at Denny's) and the ride not to bad (for us) even when the seas were rough. But nothing was impressive and the entertainment was VERY lame. You can ...

Another great voyage on Seabourn, but….

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Seabourn Sojourn

We joined the Sojourn in LA and disembarked in Taipei at the end of the second segment of the World Cruise 72 days later. Our last trip on the Sojourn had been the last two segments of the 2023 World Cruise from the Seychelles to Barcelona, and we now have about 200 days with Seabourn. We rated the 2023 voyage overall a 9.5/10. This years we would rate an 8.5+ to 9/10, still excellent. Why lower? ...

Stay away from Carnival Miracle!!

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Carnival Miracle

I have been cruising with Carnival for the last 15 years and had good experiences with them up until 2024. We did the 15 day Hawaii cruise and were highly disappointed. Food and Service on the Carnival Miracle was subpar at best and the ship had many things out of service like ice makers throughout the ships drink stations. We noticed that there was far less crew in the MDR and at the bars. ...

Much needed improvements

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Sapphire Princess

Travelled with Princess in earlier times and had not a good experience overall. The Hawaii destination did inspire us to use the company again and taste their latest trading style. Although we found lots of improvements on board, we still find the basic missing with much frustration in this matter. Having worked all my life in the catering industry in London's 4 & 5 star Hotels, found the service, ...

Mixed Feelings about this one

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Sapphire Princess

Princess did a great job with staffing. I made memories for a lifetime with various crewmembers stellar service. The shows were okay. Yes, quite dated in some cases. Ashley Rose Smith is a treasure with her singing and ability to keep a somewhat sedate crowd interested especially in her ABBA show. Sudarmo in International Cafe-amazing!! Rhoneil, our waiter. Well we never do set dining but when we ...

not as good as used to be

Too few waiters, too much cost cutting, penny pinching everywhere, but staff great and ship in good condition. Food nowhere need as good as it used to be and repeated items on each evenings menus. Some of the things that used to be included, such as lobster, now are charged extra, although we did get a small portion as part of the main meal on one evening.Limited options in Horizon dining room. ...

Princess Target Demographic Gets Older and Older

First the pros of this cruise and the Sapphire Princess ship, and there were several areas that were excellent: 1. Medallion service/functionality is great. Making it very easy to order food and drinks pretty much anywhere on the ship. Embarkation was simple/easy. The medallion appears to be the only new thing that Princess has done since we sailed last with them in 2016. 2. The ...

Lacking in so many ways

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Carnival Miracle

This was our dream cruise that was canceled in 2020 because of the pandemic. The food was horrible except for the frosted flakes and the ice cream. The only thing I ate that was hot was some soup. The menue is way to exotic. Guys burgers was the best there was. We didn't try any specialty dinning though. Leaving the ship for almost every port was a hot mess. No communication as to what was ...

Memorable Voyage

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Emerald Princess

What started on an innocent sunny day in August turned out to be an adventure we will always remember. Despite being impacted by (2) Hurricanes, the fires in Maui, and multiple medical emergencies, the Princess Staff and Officers rallied to help us all make the best experiences possible. The weather to Hawaii was hot and sunny, which was really nice. The last minute decision to reroute to Kona ...
