We won't cruise with Princess in the future

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Emerald Princess

We chose this cruise mainly because it was going through the Panama Canal which was fantastic, but unfortunately two of the original stops got cancelled, the stop in San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua got cancelled just a short time after booking and Grand Cayman got cancelled as the swell was to bad for the tenders. Pros: All the staff were excellent The Medallion App seemed to work well The ...

Best way to experience the Panama Canal!

First Time Cruiser • Age 60s

We are Long time Holland American Cruisers that took this cruise with Princess due to the timing and destination. Room: This obstructed view is fine from the view standpoint, it is at the top of the stairs from the promenade, but that was not an issue. The first 4 rooms on this deck including this one are narrower than other rooms and also have the really annoying feature of having two ...

Third and last cruise with princess

This has our 17th cruise (not all with Princess) so we are not new to cruise ships. This was the worst cruise of all and we will not be sailing with Princess again. Sorry Princess but your services on the cruise have ruined it for us. The first day, we went on the ship tour and went up to the Lotus Spa. I asked about using the sauna/steam room and was told by the female attendant the there would ...

Amazing Customer Service

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Sapphire Princess

We joined friends and my daughter for this "once in a lifetime" Antarctic cruise. The big takeaway was the outstanding customer service throughout the ship in every venue: room steward, dining room hosts and stewards, Guest Services, photo shop, and internet booth. Across the board the staff at each of these went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and delightful cruise! The Captain did a ...

I went with my cousin on this cruise from LA to Miami via the Panama Canal. Overall, it was fine, but definitely not the caliber of cruises I had taken in the past (pre-pandemic) with RCC. My opinions are as follows: Cabin: We had a junior suite, mid-ship, that met my expectation for space and comfort. The beds were very comfortable and the veranda had a lounger, which was nice to relax in. The ...

Cunard Has Really Gone Downhill Now That They’re Owned by Carnival

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

My friend had previously taken several transatlantic cruises with Cunard many years ago and was excited to try their Panama Canal cruise, so I decided to go with her. Cunard positions themselves as a premium cruising line and prices their cruises accordingly, with emphasis on dressing up for dinner, unfortunately the experience doesn’t justify the pricing. It was billed as a regular cruise ...

LA to Ft. Lauderdale via the Panama Canal

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

The itinerary seemed both exciting and romantic. Plus, there was no overseas travel involved for us (from Chicago). We were also looking to sail on the Queen Elizabeth. An unexpected bonus was successfully bidding on a Princess Grills cabin. Everything came together even better than we had hoped. We loved the QE and being in the Grills for 14 days was just amazing. The value is clearly there. The ...

LA to Barcelona

We lived in San Francisco 50 years ago and wanted to combine a nostalgic stay there with a leisurely cruise back to England via the Panama Canal and Atlantic crossing. Oddly we were unable to board in SF and had to fly to LA whilst we met passengers on board who had had to do the reverse! Cunard or Imagine Cruising to blame? Who knows. As regular Celebrity cruisers we were a little anxious ...

We chose this cruise because it was a complete transit of the Panama Canal. The cruise had 5 stops plus a full day transiting the canal. Stops were Puerto Vallarta and Huatulco, Mexico; Puntarenas, Costa Rica; Panama City, Panama; and Cartagena, Columbia. We booked local tours through Travel Advisor for all ports but Puntarenas which we booked through Princess. The Princess tour in ...
