Azamara Pursuit - January 2024 – South Africa
What a terrible company it is now it has been taken over. I have never come across such terrible customer care. We will never travel with them again. Buyer beware.
1. I booked a cruise to South Africa visiting 6 ports. We wanted to see as much of South Africa as we could and chose them because their marketing. We know that cruises are subject ...
This is our 2nd Azamara in 2 months. Previous Onward Med. Was exactly the same food experience.
In Windows Cafe very ordinary buffet type food offering. Unappetizing display with partly full serving dishes in reach until empty when replaced by the full one behind out of reach . Resembling a school canteen.
Discovery main restaurant has very well organised impeccable service by numerous ...
Small friendly ship. Food was very good - never had a problem selecting something and it always came up hot. Service was also very good. The host knew our name after the first night at the MDR. Breakfast and lunch buffet was also very good - different selections every day for lunch.
We enjoyed the 'Living Room' bar and piano music. Different 'theme' music most nights - nice atmosphere and a ...
Although the food is incredible, the service is extremely slow and low quality. If you are someone who enjoys poolside service, this cruise is not for you because the average time I waited for a drink was roughly 45 minutes to an hour, and they consistently get your order wrong. The average time for all of our food to come in the dining room was roughly 2.5 hours and I have had staff roll their ...

I work at a university that is closed for two weeks around the winter holidays, so taking a cruise that ...
Booked this Christmas Cruise in October 21 as we had done the same trip in December 18, with the odd different port. Was looking forward to visiting Esperance but that was later removed from the schedule, which gave us an over night in Adelaide. Obviously, since we last sailed on Azamara Journey Royal Caribbean had sold the fleet off to private investors ad Oh boy, didn't it show. The standards ...
Let me start by saying that the crew and the food were excellent but it was sold on a spend New Year eve on Sydney harbour. Yes we were on the harbour but behind the Sydney harbour bridge moored up at white bay with another cruise ship in front. You only got to see the fireworks with a obstructed view a lot of people were very disappointed and the captain new it because when there was a Q&A with ...
We last took this cruise, same company, (nearly) same itinerary, five years ago - and it was, as promised, amazing. Last month we took the same cruise - and what a disappointment. I know the company is under new ownership but one supposes the new owners thought there was value in what they'd bought - so why did they dumb it down? Presumably to extract a bit more profit. Azamara, regrettably, no ...
This reports on an Azamara cruise in December, Miami to Miami, on the Azamara Onward. We have been loyal Azamara customers (more than 20 cruises on the line), but are at the point of finding other options.
The pluses remain: Wonderful service and relatively competitive pricing. So do the minuses (incompetent reservations staff) and some new ones (seriously declining food quality).
On the ...
We sailed Azamara in 2015, from Hong Kong to Singapore, and it was a 4.5-star experience. The crew was fabulous, attentive, and treated us like royalty. They knew what we liked to drink, where we liked to sit in the dining room, and whom we liked to sit with, after only after a few days. The food was excellent, and overall we had an incredible trip. Fast forward to 2023, we just got off the ...
