Arabian Gulf Cruise

Review for a Middle East Cruise on Costa Serena

A pretty looking ship standing so serenely in Dubai. The cruise ticket stated embarkation would commence at 8pm but I arrived much earlier and check-in and boarding actually started at 3pm. I do have to say one big downside was not being able to access your cabin until 8pm which was really hard as many passengers had travelled on overnight flights from Europe and all over the ship you could hear ...

We have just been on the Costa Serena from Dubai to Oman ect. We arrived at the port at 8/30 am to be told we cannot board the ship till 8/o'clock in the evening great after an over night flight. Later they done us all a big favour and let us on board at 3oclock in the afternoon but still could not get a shower or change of cloths until 8 o/clock that night. Bad start but did not improve that ...

the embarkation was the nightmare we were warned about but when we finally got our cabin we really enjoyed the cruise.the ship was great, the cabin was great the itinerary was great and the crew were great.....for the most part.the only issue we had with the whole cruise was that the breakfast service was shocking.it was so bad that after 2 days we started eating breakfast in the buffet restaurant ...

Wonderful time with Costa Fascinosa

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Fascinosa

When cruising with Costa Americans need to accept that they will be a minority on the ship. You will here many languages spoken, however the staff all have English as their common tongue. The embarkation in Savona was very smooth and well organized. We have cruised with Costa in the past with a disorganized embarkation, but they have gotten their act together. The ship was very clean, the staff ...

This was our first ever cruise, every one told us to go on another to find out how bad this one was !!! Embarkation was good and easy, however our bags took 5 hours to get to our room, not a good start, however the room was clean and fit for purpose. Meals - we were on the late sitting for the evening meal, 9pm, by the time we got our meal it was 9.30 -9.45pm which was far to late, and the ...

WONDERFUL ALL THE WAY AROUND

The Mediterranea is a beautifully appointed ship. Marble everywhere including the salon floors. The food is wonderfully prepared and served by excellent waiters. I had a balcony cabin on 8th floor it was spacious and well laid out for two people with plenty of storage space. Bathroom was a good size. The staff was at all times friendly and helpful. One of the nice things: You arrive at the ports ...

Great price so so ship

We got a real good price for an inside cabin so it made the trip worth it. The ship was refurbished in 13 but already shows wear and tear. Embarkation was a pain. First they won't let you take your own luggage on the ship. You have to give it to the luggage sharks that want money to take care of it. You go through to the first line to get papers that you have already filled out online. Then you go ...

First of all, I have done 10+ cruises over the past 15 years, worldwide using different companies. My last time with costa was 2 years ago.I have read numerous posts/reviews that the standards have declined. I found this not so. 1. The DIADEMA. lovely new ship, great entertainment.loved the country rock bar (british/american live music)..and the theatre shows. As a solo traveller I didnt meet ...

easy going, slick and fun. check in and check out easiest every been on any cruise. Mix of clientele from all different countries ( so no british sunbed wars like on P and O or drunks ) all inclusive was the better option as was expensive. First day on ship let them down as buffet tea on deck hot dogs and beefburgers not great but redeemed themselves post this. You can stay on ship till your ...

We have just returned from a lovely holiday on the Costa Serena visiting, Dubai, Muscat, Khasab and Abu Dhabi. We have travelled on Costa before so were prepared for the typical Italian style. Checking in could have been an issue if you just had just flew in early in the morning as access to cabins was not until the evening. We were staying in Dubai before so arrived about 5pm which was perfect ...
