Started cruising in August 2012. The first cruise was on the Queen Elizabeth to the Norwegian Fyords. Fabulous. Since then we have sailed on 13 Cunard cruises. I believe we are now diamond grade. The Queen Victoria is 'Outdated Elegance' as another critic has stated... and that is what we love, the Elegance of a Past-dated time. The Queen Vic has it in spades!! The ship has a wonderful, homely feeling once you board.

We specifically chose this cruise because of the Itinerary. However over the two weeks on board we had 8 changes to the Itinerary. We understand that safety is important but perhaps cruise organisers need to have alternatives in place that equal the original destinations. Sarande in Albania was a total waste and overall we ended up with an extra sea day - this is wrong.

This was our first cruise and after careful research here we thought it would be a good choice as we don't like loud and flashy.
Flying from Bournemouth with Titan Airways, the initial impression was not great. The flight ran to schedule, however, in-flight catering was poor with the most miserable processed cheese sandwich made with sliced white bread, plus a four finger Kit-Kat.

We chose it for the destination of Norway and Iceland in August 2016.
All the ports were great and they give adequate time at each one to enjoy.
The ship was smooth sailing and we loved every minute ,except for the formal nights where you are required to wear a tie and coat - 4 nights in 13 is too many.
All meals were first class and not one complaint.

This was our third cruise - by chance all on Queen Elizaebth - which we have almost come to regard as home at sea. My partner was always interested in going to Norway but I was less keen - so when this combined Norway and Iceland cruise popped-up, we went for it. This was a fabulous first real experience of Cruising. The ship was a holiday in itself.Loved every minute. Excelent destinations too. The service, food, entertainment and facilities just excellent.
We had DeLuxe Inside 'Stateroom' and it was OK, plenty of space and afterall, you are only going to sleep/relax there. Would have a Balcony if I could afford it.
