A short & relaxing fun ship

The crew and entertainment make up for the shortcomings of this older ship

A smaller ship has its benefits: It was easier to get on, get off, find a deck chair, and find a chair at the shows. But this is an older ship, it is worn on the edges, had some bed smells, and had a funky cabin layout (The 4 of us were layered like a Jenga game). The bands play in odd places that don't have chairs to watch them from. Even being an older ship, it is Carnival, and the staff is ...

Four Day Getaway for a Solo Cruiser

Review for Carnival Inspiration to Mexican Riviera

This cruise was a four-night trip on the Carnival Inspiration, round trip from Long Beach, visiting Catalina Island and Ensenada. This was my 16th cruise lifetime, and 4th on Carnival. My most recent cruises were on Princess; my last cruise on Carnival was about two years ago. This was my first cruise as a solo (divorced) traveler. I picked this trip simply because the timing worked out, and the ...

We had 10 cabins and were there to celebrate a birthday. I was expecting an unruly party crowd and was surprised to see people behaving maturely on this ship. Perhaps it was the time of year and the fact that kids were still in school. There were kids there but most were kept in check. The ship was easy to navigate and nothing was too far away. Cabin has only one plug so bring a strip. Nothing ...

I arrived in Los Angeles on Thursday before the cruise. I had never been to the west coast so I wanted to see as much as possible before the cruise. I am in love with LA and probably will not return anytime soon because it a long way from home but it is still a domestic flight with limited food selection and no on board entertainment. I was with a friend and her daughter for the four days ...

We picked this cruise to go with some friends who were also cruising. It also is conveniently located to some family so we could maximize our vacation over the holiday. This was my first time on carnival. Embarking the ship was so easy and not a long process at all! Very fast and friendly! The cruise director and entertainment staff were very fun and entertaining. The Motown show was very fun. ...

We have taken many cruises but this was our first time on carnival. I would like to summarize my families pros and cons in hopes of helping others. 1. Boarding in Long Beach- was easy, took an Uber to the port, was dropped off right near the entrance and was even able to board early. We had a noon board time and we were on board by 11am. 2. The rooms- felt much smaller than NCL, RCCL ...

I think the whole mentality of Carnival being a "walmart" or "cheap" cruise is highly unfair and false. The value of this cruise was great: great service, great food, fun games to shows to watch and participate in. I have cruised with Princess before and even comparing that cruise with Carnival, Carnival did a great job in every department. Do you like steak? Fish? Frozen yogurt? Pasta? Chinese ...

We are cruiser's, it's not our first rodeo. We took our 2 grandkids, ages 6 and 8 years old boys Food; there is not much food for kids. Dinners were caribbean, french in lido buffet. There is pizza. They make them two at a time, cut them in 4 pieces each and serves 4 people two pieces each. they make grilled cheese, but they don't grill them, they toast them with mayo inside. Not good. Long ...

Class Reunion was to take place on this Cruise Ship. It was set up by the worst Travel Agent in Tehachapi, CA.......... No Meeting set up anywhere... No information provided... That was a worthless gathering... We felt totally left out................ The "Masquerade Ball" lacked music and dancing... So, it was just people in costumes, or not... who barely spoke to each other. Nothing ...
