We were 2 of group of 6 travellers, embarking on this ship was pleasant, friendly. Room availability with no hold up, luggage arrived 10 - 15 minutes later all good. ship is beautiful, very large, from memory 3,200 passengers, short version; room staff were excellent, wait staff in dining were also excellent, food 90% of the time in restaurant was great(needs a little more variety) based on this ...
We have returned recently from our cruise to N.Z. on Voyager of the Seas - We were less than impressed with the overall condition of this ship - Musty, stained carpets, mould in the bathroom (shower) etc. - to say nothing about the "sewage odour" in the corridors!!
we also thought the supervision of "hand sanitising" could have been better taking into account the Noro virus on board.
Because ...
I have been on 8 cruises and with different Cruise lines and feel the Voyager needs a refurbishment asap. I have travelled this cruise with my 2 daughters and their partners. My cabin had mould in the corners of the shower and the rubber lining of the shower doors. We never received the laundry special in our cabin, my daughter that was in another cabin let me know it was on. The venue for the ...
Were really looking forward to cruising with RCI, and realistic and not into complaining about everything for the sake of it. We enjoyed the many positives of the cruise, like Cruise Director Gordon who was just fantastic, the shows and entertainers good, embarkation excellent, port stays good, dining room lovely and staff in there friendly and attentive. Also the Captain who was very personable ...
After reading many reviews before sailing on The Voyager I was beginning to wonder what we were in for but I can recommend RCL and The Voyager 100%.
Arriving at the Quay in Sydney we were absolutely star struck by this beautiful ship. The boarding was great, I couldn't believe how many staff were on hand to make it happen with very little fuss. Once on board we decided to off load the carry on ...
It's a biggie. I will attempt to bring my review on a timeline, so please forgive me if I get a bit sidetracked.
Firstly, we flew in from NZ to Aussie via Air NZ. Arrived in Sydney the evening prior to embarkation, mainly because I am a huge planner and want to avoid any risk of missing the ship due to an airline issue. We were greeted by the driver that my brother had arranged to collect us ...
First impression: Big, often sparsely populated with passengers even though fully booked.
Getting around: My wife who always gets lost on ships, never got lost.... The promenade and atria always let you know where you are.
Dining: Very fast service, food quality good but range so so. Wine menu...don't buy the package...Americans really need to try Australian reds to realise how BAD ...
We have just finished our cruise to New Zealand on Voyager of the Seas. Let me first say that reviews saying the food was sub-standard are just complete rubbish! We had not one bad meal in 14 days we ate everywhere including windjammers.
Getting on and off the ship was a breeze so they must have done some work in that area after reading some of the earlier reviews. The ship was in alright ...
My family and I embarked on the magnificent Voyager of the Seas on December 8th, for a 14 night sailing to New Zealand.
This is my second RCCL cruise, the first being a South Pacific adventure with Rhapsody in October 2010. That cruse was fantastic, and got me hooked. It was miles above my first experience with P&O Pacific Sun in August 2009.
So you could say we were expecting BIG things with ...
Firstly I just want to say WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT Voyager of the Seas was for my husband and I when we sailed for 14 days to N.Z. - We have sailed on 3 previous cruises (2 with R.C.I. and 1 with Princess) The ship is very tired and we experienced "sewage odours" throughout the ship - especially in the corridors leading to our cabin - The smell was so bad that we had to hurry to our cabin to ...
