Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celestyal Olympia

We booked this cruise as we wanted to see as much of the islands as possible in just a few days. This is exactly that happened and rather successfully, as now we wish, we had stayed longer. I' ll state first the negatives: long queues on first embarkation and on each disembarkation, which means much wasted time. The ship offer in the price just one excursion on Ephesus (but the guide was not very ...

AUGUST 2017 MY CELESTYAL OLYMPIA REVIEW : Returning from another incredible experience with Celestyal ! I had originally booked the 7 night itinerary of the Nefeli, but the ship was then exclusively dedicated to the Turkish market for August and so we made the two combined 3 and 4 nights itineraries of the Olympia, in this month of August. Someone would say they are identical (with the ...

Greek Island Cruise

We chose this cruise because it was the second leg offered through American Israel tours to see Athens and some of the Greek Islands Unfortunately this ship was in touch shape. There were alot of college age kids romping around and partying which I didnt appreciate. Cabin was horrible. The ship was very outdated. Complained about the shower not draining property twice, once it completely ...

Early start of tours just killed it for us

We chose this cruise as it fit in with our schedule, and allowed us to sample many Greek islands. It was booked via a travel agent, and included several tours and a 'blue' alcohol package. The travel agent would have liked to arrange their own tours at the islands but Celestyal does not accommodate that. The ship is older but very clean and the staff works very hard to make a good experience. ...

Very pleasant first cruise

This cruise was part of a package so I didn't really choose it. After purchasing the package, I looked on Cruise critic and saw poor reviews, which made me a little nervous. However, I found the ship to be in nice condition and my room, while tiny, was spotless and comfortable. Both the formal dining room and the informal the face style dining room served very good food with a lot of choices ...

See Greek Islands!

This cruise was booked as part of a tour package of Greece. We visited Mykonos, Patmos, Kusadasi, Crete and Santorini, all in 3 days! As other reviewers have noted, this schedule is grueling, but it gets you a lot of bang for your buck. This is not a relaxing Caribbean cruise, so adjust your expectations and you'll be fine. Our cabin was perfect, small, but the beds were very comfortable and ...

Forced March At Santorini

Review for a Greece Cruise on Celestyal Olympia

For the adventurous, the port call in Santorini can provide excitement when the cable car breaks down and you have to descend the 588-step stairway/path (no railing) in a short amount of time or be left behind with your passport on the ship. For those of us past middle age, this can be a challenge; my legs did not recover for several days. To add insult to injury, we were not refunded the six ...

Good service and value for money

I was travelling alone and it was in fact my first cruise. I was a little sceptic about my adaptation with this way to travel and turism. Have to say that I am very satisfied about my experience.. The service has been good : well and timed organised with, in general, enough, kind, polite and serviced oriented staff. The information and instructions given had been clear and timed. The ...
