"We enjoyed the beaches so much on this cruise that a beach vacation may be next for us, but I know the food at a resort or hotel will not live up to Apex.Hands down the best food I’ve had on a cruise...."Read More
1. Embarkation was an issue because we were not told to tell driver Terminal 25.
2. Food was not great, 4 main restaurants had very similar menus and quality was not good in any one.
3. Throughout we thought Celebrity was penny pinching, like the $4.00 charge for coffee at any of the 4 main restaurants.
4. We were told that there were two (2) levels of internet, this proved to be false, ...
So grateful to these forums as they helped us when we were planning our trip. So I thought I'd share our experience in case it might be helpful to anyone.
Context:
First time cruisers but frequent world travelers. Mid 50s. Early risers, early to bed. Big readers. Stair climbers and cyclists. Two meals per day. One of us is susceptible to seasickness (hence why we'd never been on a cruise.) ...
Second week, new room due to excessive noise from midnight to 3:00am under Craft Social Bar on deck 4. Moved to deck 11 aft, super easy process, clothes stay on hangers load up suitcase with the rest of your stuff and walk off the ship for the turnaround at security check.
Back on board in 20 minutes or less, up the elevator and tada luggage and clothes are on the bed. Put everything back ...
My friend and I had a wonderful trip on Celebrity Apex! The ship was beautiful, new, and clean. It is a well designed ship and never seemed really crowded (except at the pool). The infinite veranda stateroom we had on deck 7 aft was spacious. The type of veranda on this ship is like an enclosed sunroom with a full panel of glass that opens half way. This had the advantage of extending the room a ...
Embarkation
Embarkation was very simple. We walked right in around 11:00, waited mere seconds in line for the X-Ray, then walked right up to a boarding agent. A few seconds of paperwork and we were allowed to begin the trek to the ship.
Total time: less than 10 minutes from entering the terminal to standing on the ship.

We were Aqua Class, so we took most ...
This was the first time cruising with Celebrity as our son was getting married on St. Thomas. We heard from so many people that Celebrity (Apex) is a step up from Royal Caribbean (which we have always cruised with) and that the food and service was so much better. Naturally our expectations were very high........boy were we DUPED! The service on this ship was pretty much non-exsistant. Service ...
This was an adult family get together. All 3 couples took infinity veranda cabins. Only one person said they would prefer a traditional balcony after the cruise. Most of us gave the entertainment an A or a B plus although the music level was often ear shattering, the auditorium is large and comfortable with good sight lines. Food selection was very good, excursions were good, and to our surprise ...
We went on this cruise with several other couples who got a good deal through a travel agent. We have been on several other cruises, but this was our first with Celebrity. We were in room which was near the front of the ship. Our room was very nice. The food on this ship is comparable to other cruise lines. There were not as many bells and whistles on this ship as with some others, but this ...
EMBARKATION DAY: Easy peasy. First of all, we live about 38 minutes from Port Everglade, so that part is a pleasure and part of why cruising is such a stress free escape for us. Terminal 25 is beautiful...we arrived at about 11 and as Retreat guests, we were guided to some elevators where we were checked on an ipad and walking up the gangway within minutes. We walked to our room and entered ...
We choose this cruise to join a social group of people of Greek American backgrounds who organized it and provided Greek entertainment to the group during the cruise. I was our second cruise on Celebrity and our eleventh cruise. In addition to Celebrity we have sailed with Princess, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, Norwegian, and Cunard.
Embarkation: We rolled the dice and took a flight from ...
