First the positives. Friendly, helpful staff. Great entertainment, especially Craig stewart in Brodie’s. A lovely boat as you would expect fro a brand new boat. Food delicious in all areas. Our favour as Sindhu, excellent value. Negatives. Very small cabins only 14 inches between Wardrobe and bed. Restaurant booking. THere is no freedom dining it Is all booked using the The P and O app, ...

PRE-BOARDING COVID LATERAL FLOW TEST. Three hours in a holding area waiting to be processed, gridlock traffic all around the docks roads, as cars were unable to get into the holding area. Five weeks ago we cruised with Celebrity we had a CPR test three days prior to sailing (at their expense) which avoided all this chaos and inconvenience. CHECK-IN Having completed all the ...

Our trip can be described as "Ups and Downs". Great boat, beautiful decor, different bars. Super clean, absolutely amazing, thank you to all cleaning staff, what a great job their doing. Our highlights were the Infinity pools, whirlpool spas all around the ship, silent disco, the gym, the Glass house and La Voix (the best performer). Unfortunately, the cruise was not organised very well. On ...

The ship is the result of people's feedback being applied to the design. Easily navigable wide corridors as ever some things are going to improve with time she is teething but lovely. The bad bits well the drive thru covid testing no toilets mother is disabled it wasn't the best start. Ladies and Gents me sure you go before Southampton. Olive Grove, forget it, and people should ...

Wonderful Ship... And Crew

The brand new Iona is lovely, sparkly, gleaming, and well ... new! My ambition before cruise end was to walk from one end to t'other barefoot so luxurious was the carpeting. Also mightily impressive were the staff for some of whom had joined the ship for the first time, cheerful, unfailingly polite - what a difference smiles make - yes, even masked ones. There were a few teething problems which ...

Iona using a wheelchair in standard balcony cabin

Thought this was safest way for holiday post lockdown. Wheelchair access all over the ship was good. It is rather more difficult to push it on carpeted areas. There was no problem with lifts as the ship was only half full.Other passengers were kind offering their places in the lifts. Rule of four was adhered to. Covid testing was fine and we were on the ship within an hour and a half. Staff ...

A disaster of a cruise from before the start

Review for Iona to Europe - All

From booking to disembarkation was a nightmare of some magnitude. P & O did not answer their phones, they just cut you off. This happened ten times! When we arrived at Ocean Terminal we were told to go to get tested at Dock Gate 10. This was not on any paperwork provided by P & O and wasted more time and patience. We snaked at 1 mph for 2 miles and for 2 hours just to get into the queue ...

A lot of money for a disappointing holiday

We waited a long time for a cruise, after our Fjords cruise was cancelled many times because of Covid. After a 2 hour wait for test results, at the terminal, we were finally able to board. The cabin was disappointing, a funny shape and cramped; the balcony chairs, when moved, made a noise like thunder. It didn’t help that the weather was cold, but was it necessary to have the air con ...

Summary A beautiful ship let down by bad organisation and service. The good Very spacious, well-designed public and private spaces. Taste full décor throughout. Balcony cabins a good size and well furnished. Large and very comfortable bed. Embarkation and disembarkation, very smooth and lots of helpful staff around. Excellent hygiene standards, we felt very safe. The bad and the ...
