This ship should be taken out of service for a maajor overhaul. Bathroom tiles were mildew stained. Vinyl on restaurant booths were torn Dining tables had cracks in Formica that collected dirt. Line cooks were nice unless you had a request then they were snippy. Buffet often closed early or opened late. Food variety was good and it looked great but was bland. Bar service was spotty. ...

We sailed the Zaandam, Northbound only Vancouver - Seward 7 day Alaskan cruise May 31 - June 7.
We ate 3 breakfasts in Rotterdam, including day of departure, as we disembarked at 8:25. Leave 1 hour for this leisurely served, well done meal. And, meet people!

Overall rating of cruise is due to two things - lack of organization in getting off the ship at some ports. People coming from stairwells, off the elevators and then coming down the corridors. Too many converging into one area and total disorganization. Need major improvement.

Overall, this was an excellent trip. Of course, we enjoyed some uncommonly phenomenal weather, so that set the tone for most of the trip. If you need any type equipment by your bed, make sure you bring an extension cord. It was ridiculous how long it took, how many people were involved and what the final result was.
