Price/smaller ship/traditional ship (2000 passengers?)
The ship is traditional older class and embarks on a world cruise in Southampton UK once a year in January .Special deals are offered to fill some legs of the journey at reduced prices perhaps to sell the cabins and ours was Singapore to Fremantle section ...Last year we did Darwin to Hong Kong
I can't believe how much the service and ...
We spent 19 nights on the P&O Aurora from Singapore to Sydney as part of her 2017 World Cruise.
Overall it was an enjoyable experience with a few problems along the way.
The weather proved to be a problem because before we got to Western Australia the outside temperature dropped considerably and as we had five more sea days to go before we got to Sydney only the bravest went out on deck as ...
Aurora. Jan 17. 21 nights
Our first time on Aurora, we booked not realising that this was the first leg of a world cruise (not that it made a huge amount of difference to us) and celebrating 180 years of the P and O company/cruise line
Another very competitively priced cruise
Embarkation at Southampton was slightly better than 12 months ago, however we arrived at our given time and ...
After being regaled non stop by me about the excellent food and shows you get on a P&O Cruise,I finally managed to convince my wife to take her first ever cruise......We decided on the Caribbean Christmas and New Year Cruise on Aurora - I cruised on the same ship in 2013 on her Transatlantic and Canada trip and was looking forward to being reunited with the ship. Boarding went well, and the A Deck ...
Hi
A more relaxed smaller ship. I thought she was a smooth Sailing ship. The only downside was the promenade deck was having some work done on it and was mostly partly shut for the trip.
Room was the cheapest on board with one big surprise I could put my luggage away in the closest in my room. Can't do that on a Cunard ship. The sink in my room was a bit 'worn' but was fine. It also had the ...
After reading less than complimentary reviews of this cruise I wanted to say our experience was different from two other reviewers. The ship was decorated for Christmas on our second day on board and we thought the decorations, trees, lights were tasteful and gave a real Christmas feeling to the ship.
We had Club Dining in the Alexandria Restaurant and thought the new menus were good. The ...
Chose this cruise as the itinerary was great as was the price. Turned out a great destinations cruise and the ship was great too but it was nothing short of a floating Benidorm. Where did so many slovenly ill mannered people come from, first time experiencing this type of fellow passenger. One woman had her shoes and socks off in the bar with her feet up on the seat, others looked as though they ...
We chose this cruise in order to visit Christmas markets and see some places we'd never been before; namely Hamburg, Copenhagen and Oslo. The ship and the ports for the most part did not disappoint. It was our first time on Aurora. To be honest, I think I prefer larger ships like Ventura. Aurora was a lovely ship but I wouldn't say it was impressive. Our balcony cabin on A deck though small, was ...
We chose this cruise specifically because it was promoted as just that: a music festival at sea. Not everyone on board knew that. Which did, in the event, cause some grumbles.
Embarcation was fine. On this occasion we had booked a higher grade which did reduce the waiting. Our cabin was a mini suite which we had chosen because, having travelled on this ship once before, we knew it to be of a ...
Ship ok, considering just had refit carpets are filthy in cabins, public lounges bars etc nice and clean
Alexandria waiters excellent the best we have ever had. Food ok can notice cutbacks within the menus.
The real downside for us was the entertainment very very poor not sure if it was down to Leon to book or main office but something needs to be done about it when you spend £8000 for four ...
