1-10 of 55 P&O Australia Pacific Encounter Cruise Reviews
I have been on quite a few cruises and this has definitely been the worst, it was only a 4 night cruise and i had a suite but I couldn't wait to get off the boat.
Everything on this cruise is designed to take your money, especially the dining. The free dining is so poor (buffet is terrible and extremely small) that you are forced to buy food just to get a nice meal.
In addition to this, the ...
First cruise. Not too bad, but not outstanding. The absolute highlight onboard is the staff. All staff are extremely hard working, polite and professional. This is from the cleaners to the entertainers. People like the cruise director are fun and don't mind being silly to get a laugh from passengers.
Being our first cruise, we were a little overwhelmed on boarding and there are no clear ...
A great ship that really caters for our whole family. All the common areas are thought out, and the flow of the ship felt easier and better designed that some other brands worldwide. I was travelling as a single parent with two pre-teen kids, who made great friends on our sailing! We met loads of new friends at every part of our cruise - so social, friendly and inclusive!
The public areas were ...
Staff on ship very serious and not very friendly.
The carpets were smelly, There was water dripping from the light fittings outside the lifts on deck 15. Cabin stewards not very friendly. My suitcase had been gone through by cabin staff. Bed linen not changed. Rooms not vaccuumed , Mould on bathroom tiles.
Strong smell of marijuana on smoking decks. (Deck 7) The smoking area on deck 15 ...
After losing my father recently, we thought it would be good to take mum away for a few days. Disappointing is an understatement -
Pros- Singers & dancers were very good
Sailaway party and theme nights are good.
Even though you cant swing a cat in the room, the bed was comfy.
Cons- Ship is in very poor condition, paint peeling, tiles around the pool are broken, stains on the ceilings, ...
The Encounter was once again a delight.
Staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble.
The cabin was nice, the food quite good, and the entertainment enjoyable.
I will happily cruise on this ship again.
The food in Dragon Lady, the Asian restaurant, was superb. Better even than the last time I was on this ship, and it was good then.
The paid pizza restaurant was again ...
My first ever cruise and cannot say how disappointed I was. From the state of the ship just being old to the actually drips on my head in the pantry as the whole roof leaked in the main dining room. The whirlpool spas (not one of them worked so it was just like warm bath water), to the showers that firstly burned my hand badly as it was about 79 degrees then they just turned the heat off so cold ...
1. bathtub is mouldy, toilet smells like dirty public toilet. Made compliants but no improvement.
2. Everything on the ship aren’t being maintained and very dated, e.g. Pantry water tab (to wash hands) not working, not just one of them but every single one.
3. Staff need a lot more training, the worst customer service I have ever experienced on a cruise ship. E.g. in the Pantry, one of the ...
as a first time cruiser I really enjoyed my experience on the pacific encounter as I had no exceptions going onto the cruise I was definitely happy with my experience. the staff are very attentive and truely care about providing a wonderful memorable experience whether it be the entertainment team, waiters, waitresses, bar staff, the list goes on. a personal favourite was the bingo and the other ...
this cruise was meant to be a CHEAP excursion into the type of holiday.1500 dollars for two people 3 days local sailing with all inclusive but the truth became pretty obvious very quickly. NOTHING Of value is included. your included meals are very basic with 2000 people standing in a que for half an hour like a line in a jail movie. then the pleasure of walking around for 15 mins to find a table ...
