We set sail on 10/05/13 from Galveston. A lot of our impressions is based on the fact that we were in a Concierge Suite.
The check in could have been faster even though we were in the Concierge Line. The line for regular check in appeared to be extremely long.
Upon check in we boarded the ship and the ship is in great condition. The lunch buffet at Parrot Cay was full so they directed us ...
Halloween on The Wonder was in fact Wonderful! My wife and I, both in our late 50's, had our long awaited honeymoon! The staff really know how to pamper you. So much layed back than the parks go go go atmosphere, though we do love the parks! Characters everywhere, with time to meet & greet and take no-rush pics with everybody! Do not miss the character breakfast,...all characters come to all ...
This is my third cruise, first on Disney Cruise Line. The other two cruises were on NCL Pearl and Spirit, which was great.
Disney Wonder is a old ship but really well maintained, you feel is newer. I went with my wife and 2 year old kid, which actually was his birthday onboard. They did a good job celebrating him on dinner.
About the ports, we went to Falmouth, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and ...
We flew into LAX and had no trouble finding our Disney Rep. and onto the bus for our cruise. Check in was relatively simple because we were returning cruisers....all of our information was already there! Do not remember having it like that with other cruise lines. . Buffet luncheon....food fairly good....to excited to eat much. Muster drill was in Parrott Key.....not outside in the heat....really ...
The Disney Wonder had the BEST Entertainment we have ever experienced on a Cruise. This is the first Disney Cruise we have taken. This was our 22nd Cruise and Holland is our favorite line. The production of shows offered on our Cruise was outstanding. From shows that reminded us of the plays in Los Angeles to the individual entertainers they were the best we have seen out of the Five Cruise lines ...
In terms of family experience - I was extremely impressed. We sailed with a set of three year old boy-girl twins and the children's programs were excellent. Another thing that I really liked was the fact that I didn't have to worry about the children being exposed to age-inappropriate entertainment. And in fact when our son took off on us and got away we went to find a crewmember for help after ...
This 14-day cruise was the second cruise for my husband and me, who are in our 60's. The first was 7 days on Carnival this past spring.
Here are my impressions and comments.
As first-time Disney cruisers, we read a lot ahead of time on the forums so that we'd know what to expect. Overall, we had a very good time, but there were some problems.
First, we never got to see the Animator's Palate ...
This was our second DCL cruise and we traveled with another couple - all without children. From an adult perspective, this cruise has a lot to offer even if it seems to be very much pointed towards families with kids. We found the small number of children on this cruise to actually be kind of sad - since we love watching them get so excited about Mickey and all the activities to do ...
We selected this cruise to find out what a Disney Cruise would be like. I am a senior citizen who can walk a bit but not far, so I use a rented scooter on my cruises.
We got a concierge cabin, since we wanted room for scooters (my partner uses one also on board)and the one bedroom we got was very adequate and quite comfortable, with a nice accessible bathroom, which neither of us really need, but ...
We took our 4 year old grandson on a Disney Cruise to Alaska. We chose this itinerary because it did not involve any long flights. The weather actually co-operated for the most part and our day touring the glaciers in Tracey Arm was warm and wonderful. My favourite place was Ketchikan and we did the amphibious duck tour and loved it. Our host Lee was fantastic and had so much knowledge. Our ...
