Negatives: Previous 9 times I have embarked a ship in Vancouver I arrive at 11 am and get on board quickly. 2 large ships in Port. Celebrity and Royal Caribbean were dispersing room keys before we entered security. Great trip. We used Choice Air for our flight from Seattle to Anchorage, ($99), and rented a car for the drive to Seward, (3 hrs $185). The drive was very scenic, but a little cloudy. We stayed 1 night at the Saeurdough Lodging, basic, but clean and good location.

It has been 10 years since we sailed on the Millennium. We noticed the changes and improvements right away. Unlike the negative reviews on this forum, we had a very pleasant trip and found the staff and crew to be very friendly. Services levels for house keeping and in the MDR were excellent. First may I say Alaska was beyond works. We totally enjoyed the land portion of the cruise. The guides and drivers were outstanding. Knowledgeable and kind and entertaining.
