This was our 5th cruise, and we were a bit wary about what to expect. We have cruised with Royal Caribbean 3 other times, and the first 2 were fabulous. Our trip previous to this one was in the Mediterranean, and, though we loved everything else about the cruise, we were extremely disappointed with the food, so this cruise to Alaska was going to be our final one if we were disappointed again. We ...
We recently returned from a 12 day Alaska Cruise Tour on the Royal Caribbean's Radiance of the Seas. The whole Alaska experience was incredible offering great views, diverse stops along the way, a friendly crew and friendly travelers. Sadly. Royal Caribbean did not come anywhere near to living up to it's reputation as a first class cruise line.
For the land portion, the accommodations were one ...
We were first time cruisers, older (62) and stayed in room 1532 ..grand suite.
PRE-CRUISE
As first time cruisers we had many questions about the ship, excursions etc IMPOSSIBLE to get thru to RC.After receiving multiple Emails from Our personnel trip consultant I spent 15 then 23 then 18 minutes on hold on three Different occasions over 4 wks trying to ask a few questions and book excursions. ...
After sailing with Royal Caribbean on several occasions (member of Crown & Anchor) my husband and I were very disappointed with many different items with this particular cruise.
First off, we booked a balcony suite #9606. When we arrived of course we went directly to the balcony and I was surprised to find rust dripping off the pipes overhead. Not a very good first impression. Secondly, the ...
We flew into Anchorage on Alaska Airlines and stayed at Embassy Suites for a night. We are at Moose Tooth and Humpey's-both excellent. Our group of family and friends (16) rented a private mini bus from Seward Bus Line and had a peaceful and scenic 3.5 hour ride to Seward. There we rented the Sea Treasure Inn for two nights (all the 4 separate rooms and baths and the whole house). It is located ...
We did an 11 night cruisetour which included seven nights on Radiance of the Seas. The ship was kept spotless even through a bout of norovirus which had the crew serving all food including in the Windjammer. This was handled very well and in a timely fashion. We did, however see crew members entering the Windjammer without sanitizing their hands...walking right by the sanitizers. We are diamond ...
We drove from Denver to Moab, UT, and toured Arches National Park. We stopped in Salt Lake City, and Seattle along the way. We then drove to Vancouver, BC, to catch our cruise, leaving our car at the hotel.
We sailed early evening and spent the next day cruising the Inside Passage. We toured the ship and met some new friends at our diningroom table. There might have been some casion time, as ...
I don't like to leave poor reviews, but here goes and hopefully this will help out someone trying to decide on a cruise line in the future. My husband and I have always sailed Carnival and after many times of hearing from other cruisers that Royal Caribbean is so much better we decided to give it a try on our trip to Alaska. We did a northbound inside passage cruise package leaving from Vancouver ...
This was a trip of a lifetime. We began our land tour in Fairbanks, Alaska. We stayed at the Sophie Station Hotel which was very nice with a full kitchen so you could shop at the local Safeway just down the road and eat meals right in the room. This saved us a considerable amount of money. We visited lots of sites in Fairbanks and did the Gold Dredge 8 tour panning for gold on our own. The land ...
We just completed our 7 night cruise aboard the Radiance of the Seas and while it was fresh, writing a quick review. I'm a rookie "cruiser" with this being my second cruise ever. We went with our family and enjoyed two balcony staterooms. For two people, found it plenty of room with a comfy bed and storage areas. I was surprised with the lack of basic amenities (lotion, conditioner, etc) - even ...
