A fun experience on the whole
"The embarkation was terrible it took 41/2 hours to get us all aboard. There were three cruise ships, 9,000 people boarding at the same time. Lots of people saying they have never experienced such a wait and would..."Read More

Review for Golden Princess to Australia & New Zealand

We cannot praise the Captain and staff of the Golden Princess enough! We have just returned from a 13 day cruise to New Zealand that was cut short by 4 days because of the current global crisis. During this uncertain time we were kept up to date at all times as the situation developed and were treated with the utmost respect. The food onboard was incredible and nothing was too much trouble for our ...

I am really impressed with the way the Captain and crew of the Golden Princess responded to constantly-changing circumstances while we were on our New Zealand cruise. Our captain kept us up-to-date as much as he could with regular, friendly, well-explained announcements whenever new news or regulations came in. Although plans seemed to change daily, the focus was always on the well-being, comfort ...

The cruise itinerary was possibly the worst I have been on. (Seventh to this area). Due to the Corona virus the island of Mare was taken off the agenda. I would much prefer visits to the smaller islands where beaches and the availability to swim in the clear waters. However knew what to expect when I booked the cruise. Rain and bad weather caused the cancellation of tours on Noumea, but that is ...

Average cruise

We booked this cruise on the Golden Princess for our Golden wedding anniversary. We had to pay an extra $630 above the advertised price in the Herald Sun. When moving into our cabin (Stateroom is a joke) we found it contained two bunks folded against the walls above the double bed. This made it very hard to try and get around the bed to get into it. Fortunately our very helpful cabin steward ...

Hi all My wife and son and myself choose this cruise as it left from Melbourne our home city easier we thought. We found the ship to be leaking and the age group on boat old honestly if you didn't have a walking frame or walking stick or even a ride on bike you felt out of place no offense to anyone just not our thing. As this was the age demagraffic the activities on board suited them ...

This is our fourth cruise and our first trip with Princess cruises. We are both in our early 60's but found that the average cruiser was much older with very few young people and families on board. We make friends very easily, yet found it difficult this cruise, I'm sorry to say. I would not recommend Princes cruises if your under 65 as everything on board is catered for an older crowd, from ...

We tried Club Class this time. Very worthwhile. Enjoyed dining in private section with dedicated wait staff. Always welcomed with warm greetings. Waiters quick to point out excellent daily specials. Tried Crown Grill one night. Steak and lobster for a $47 pp add on fee. Nice special evening. Cruise Director Victor one of the best we have ever traveled with, Shows were overall ...

One of the attractions of this cruise was that it left and returned to Melbourne, which saved us the trip to Sydney. We were a group of six - myself and husband and our 2 adult kids and their partners. We wanted a value for money, easy holiday to New Zealand and that is exactly what we got. Golden Princess certainly has no frills and is looking her age but overall she does her job well. This ...

We found the Gold Princess a bit out date, bathrooms & shower a bit to small, the beds were comfortable, and the cabins were always clean, and clean towels at least twice a day. Thank you Marjorie Endeavour Lounge great for entertainment, and staff were always very friendly, gave the best service, Benini Restraunt was amazing, great menu, service was outstanding & great atmosphere. Crown Grill ...
