We did Alaska on NCL Star in 2011, but it was in May which was a little too cold. Wanted to do Alaska again but on a one-way from the North to South.

We thoroughly enjoyed this cruise. The sun is an older, smaller ship, but by nature of that, there were far less passengers, even at capacity and you never felt that it was crowded. My husband and I cruised after a seven day absolutely amazing independent land tour through Alaska Tour and Travel. We choose Norwegian because it is more casual and we would not need as much luggage for the two weeks since we would not need as many dress clothes and shoes.
