Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Explorer of the Seas

I was incredibly nervous about going on Explorer with our kids, knowing it hadn’t been revamped yet. Yes it doesn’t have waterslides or laser tag or other things the bigger and newer ships might have, but they had excellent food and service which was way more important! We had gone on Oasis in February and the food was very disappointed- my blueberry pancakes were so over MICROWAVED that they were ...

I choose this cruise because of the destinations the price and the dates. I had an inside cabin for 3 people. I was surprised on how spacious it was which included a sofa. I had the unlimited dinning package and the food of each of the specialty restaurants was great. Embarkation was fast and painless, also leaving the ship on the last date. Notice that I carry my own luggage. There were ...

Here’s my review of our cruise on Explorer. We sailed from Miami (Terminal G) from July 3-9. Fast facts: • We stayed in an Owner’s Suite (cabin 1292 on Deck 10). • This was our 4th RC cruise: 2 on Symphony, 1 on Brilliance, then this. We went from Platinum to Emerald on this cruise, and will go to Diamond after our planned November cruise on Symphony. • We’re empty-nesters, so no ...

A/c in the cabinets not working , we could sleep comfortly, we were hot. The also the cooler did not keep our water cold, also under the bed it was clean, they just clean around it. Actvities on the ship were boring, specialty the comedy shows. Pool activities were fun. STAFF ON THE SHIP VERY GOOD The ship it kind of old, and the pools were super small. Our perfect day in coco cay was ...

Cruise Experience Needs a Tune -Up: Rating C-

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Explorer of the Seas

The cruise: I am giving the Royal Caribbean Explorer of the Seas Experience a C-. This is why: The food was basic and unflavorable. I don’t think that is a word, but they need to adjust seasonings and flavorings. The deserts offered in the Windjammer where the buffet is served, all tasted the same: sponge cake with shipped filling; small cups of whipped toping and a fruit topping, cookies were ...

I chose RC for the destination ports. I like Scuba Diving and wanted to go to Bonaire to dive. RC changed the port without any reason. I lost the deposit on my diving excursion I made on my own since RC diving excursion were booked. The AC in the room was hot. Reported it however tech did not fix it. I purchase the drink package however the quality of the drinks were substandard and very little ...

We had a balcony room with an EXCELLENT Cabin Attendant! We had my time Dining but---you need to "read between the lines. Luckily, we were able to reserve our time and table and walked right in every night but the first---TIP: reserve your table for the same time and your wait staff---no waiting this way! Wait staff was great---Very short staffed though! they will take care of you! Canceling ...

EXCURSION BUYER BEWARE My husband and I were on 6 day western Caribbean Explorer of the Sea cruise that departed from Miami June 5. Overall, nice, good entertainment and hard working room and dining crews. The huge disappointment came from Jamaica Falmouth, where they canceled our excursion of choice to Rose Hall, after an hour of waiting, and offered Go Native excursion instead. By that ...

We chose this cruise because of the value and the ports (Grand Cayman, Curaco and Aruba) are some of our favorites. The itinerary changed a couple of times, but it ended up great for us. First and foremost, our room steward Danny He was very understanding of our specific desires for the cabin, he exceeded expectations in every way. He is patient, very friendly and extremely accommodating. ...

This was my first royal carribean cruise and the worst cruise I’ve ever had. The rooms are run down. The showers are tiny little cylinders. Many amenities were broken. Leaks in the hallways. It was always slightly dirty. The food is barely edible. No seasoning, watered down, and the only desserts that were NOT sugar free with in the restaurants or the broken ice cream machine. And the speciality ...
