We cruised on the Adventure of the Seas eight years ago and really enjoyed it. When I saw the deal on a balcony with an itinerary that I liked we grabbed it!
We are both 62 years old, from Arizona and this was our 25th cruise. We were celebrating our 21st Wedding Anniversary. We have cruised NCL, HAL, Carnival and are Diamond members on RCCL.
We flew from Phoenix to San Juan the night ...
I have cruised Carnival and I hear RC is a step above and not so much the "party ship" that Carnival can be. This was geared more to an evened-out age group all around. It was enjoyable, the staff was attentive, food was pretty good. The ship was in need of some updating. Rooms were dated (we had a balcony room) and some of the hall ways wreaked of dampness as there were, apparently, plumbing ...
We choose this cruise because my daughter and her boyfriend were going and we decided to join them. The cruise itself was very good. We had not been to a couple of the islands so it was really nice. The port was not in old san juan which was dissapointing cause there is absolutely nothing to do at this port except get on the ship which I guess was ok seeing we have been to old San Juan several ...
Well we just returned from our 9/10/16 departure from San Juan Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas cruise,,,it was the most disappointing cruise I've ever taken...until this cruise, we have ALWAYS bragged on Royal Caribbean, but no longer. Let me first say the food, dining staff and room attendants were great..other than that....where to start.
Day 1: Our stateroom AC was not working and the ...
I have been on over 30 Royal Caribbean cruises! Diamond Plus!
I have been on many other cruise lines.
Overall ,I feel that Royal Caribbean gives you the best experience ,and value for your money.
I do prefer the Oasis and Quantom class ships.
I have been on the adventure on two previous sailings.
We picked the Adventure of the seas for its great itinerary !
We have sailed the ...
This was our first cruise and it was great. Took us a few days to figure out everything the ship had to offer and after that we really enjoyed ourselves. We probably went overboard (no pun intended) with excursions as we did two in every port, which didn't let us enjoy the ship as much as we could have.
Getting off and on ship was fast and efficient. Areas around the ports felt like ...
Cabin #9376 This cabin was in the aft of the ship. It is an "adjoining room". We could hear our neighbors next door quite clearly so next time we cruise, we are making sure our room adjoins no one. Our room was very well kept. Raymon, our steward, was very eager to please and made our room look spotless each and every day!!
Adventure of the Seas is scheduled for refurbishment in November ...
We booked this cruise in February 2016 and my 2 sisters and our husbands just wanted a trip together. After losing our son in June, my husband and I weren't planning on going but in the end, decided we needed a distraction. It was a very good deal for us as far as the cost so we were excited. Embarkation went well and we settled into our balcony staterooms. We were in room 6524. We noticed that ...
Nice itinerary, although I would have preferred a sea day in the middle of the cruise. Five ports in a row was a bit hectic. No time to really relax and recharge unless we didn't go into a port. The ship is definitely in need of refurbishment. Our stateroom was quite shabby with one of the cabinet doors about to fall off and a broken and threadbare love seat. Chef's Table was wonderful. Exquisite ...
I read alot of reviews that complained about the food and the service as well as statements that the ship is old and in need of work. OK here is my totally honest opinion from someone who has cruised alot with RCCL and has been on old, new and refurbished ships.
Firstly let me say that I put the cabin review under that section so please check it out.
Overall the ship looks great. It is going ...
