Good time - interesting ports of call

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

We sailed on the Eastern itinerary with stops in St. Maarten, St Kitts, Antigua, St. Lucia, and Barbados. We arrived the day before and stayed at the Courtyard Isla Verde. It's a nice property that allowed us to have some beach time before we boarded. As checkout was 11:00 we took a taxi then to the terminal. At the terminal, we checked our bags quickly and then had to wait until after 12:00 ...

We had not been cruising with RCL in some time and as a graduation gift my son wanted to cruise somewhere new so he could relax. There are not many cruises to the Southern Caribbean in June and we chose this one because of the ports it visited. Some critics said the ship was old and showing its' age but we were VERY PLEASED. Our cabin (superior outside with balcony) was spacious and our steward ...

Loved the Itinerary!

I chose this cruise for two (2) reasons: First, it sailed out of San Juan where I could meet up with my Mom who lives there. And secondly, the Itinerary. However, having sailed out of San Juan on numerous occasions; it was not as pleasant as sailing out of Old San Juan (OSJ) RCCL sails out of Pan Am Pier which is approximately 2 miles from OSJ and there is nothing to do in the port area unless ...

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

This was our first cruise in about 2 years, and our first RCI cruise since 2007. We sailed out of San Juan, and, just to be safe, we flew in the day before. We've been to San Juan on several occasions, and we really like staying at El Convento in Old San Juan. However, this was Memorial Day weekend, so there was a 3 night minimum. We wound up staying at Caribe Hilton, which was also ...

It’s no secret that the cruise industry is becoming more and more competitive. What was once deemed as a vacation for the rich and famous, if not just the rich, is now a common vacation for individuals and families from all cultures, heritages and socioeconomic backgrounds. For families, cruising the Caribbean can be utopia with a plethora of activities for passengers of all ages ...

Hubby and I chose the southern cruise route to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. We arrived two days before our cruise so we could enjoy some sightseeing. We stayed at Marriott Stellaris Resort. Our ocean view room was very spacious and had everything we needed for comfort. I loved being able to wake up in the morning to look out at the ocean. There are plenty of restaurants in walking ...

We've been on the adventure of the seas before and had seen all the islands save one. we decided the shore excursion to that island wasn't worth the effort or the money so we stayed on the ship and relaxed. my wife enjoyed several spa treatments and we enjoyed the diamond lounge each day for breakfast, luncheon snack and evening cocktails; not to mention quiet comfortable reading with a great ...

We like to escape our Australian winter, but to go to the Carribbean we need to avoid the hurricane weather and Royal Caribbean is the only line that goes to the Southern Caribbean during May. Having sailed with Oceania previously, we were a little apprehensive about RCI, but while the food wasn't brilliant, it was OK. Except there was wa....ay too much of it. Americans serve wa...ay too much ...

We wanted to go to the Caribbean with our daughter, her Husband and in-Laws. We had a great dining experience in the main dining room, table #323 at 6PM with Arnold and Kurana as our servers. They did an excellent job in serving us for the whole trip. The food was excellent and the entertainment was very good. Embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. Our cabin # was 2344, Christopher ...

We arrived in San Juan and stayed 4 days at the Sheraton Old San Juan: this is a wonderful hotel. The hotel is an excellent location within walking distance of major attractions and across the pier from Carnival Cruise Line. You can take a taxi from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the ship for approx $25. There is no need to take RC transportation. The Sheraton is within walking ...
