Ship in need of updating, Quality of service and food in MDR is declining

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

I have been on RCCL at least 10 times and have observed that over the last 5-6 years the quality of service in the MDR has declined. I was on Adventure in June and the service and quality of food in the MDR was better than this time just 3 months later. Their roasted potatoes are tiny taters now! The ship is showing it age. It was scheduled for refurbish and AMP Up 2 years ago during COVID ...

I guess you could say we are "gym rats". Exercise has always been part of our lifestyle. In addition to entertainment and food, we enjoy all the other benefits onboard. living on the port of New York, we have enjoyed Norwegian, RCL, Princess and Celebrity. We have noticed that newer ships in all lines are dropping some amenities. Adventure of the Seas, while it does not have "Go-carts" ...

Solid ship with excellent crew

This is a ship that is in decent condition that can take you to some very lovely destinations. As long as you have reasonable expectations, you can have a very nice vacation on Adventure of the Seas. The crew was excellent, and went out of their way to try to make this a wonderful vacation. We are traveling as a family, with 3 children aged 3.7 and 11 at the time of sailing. We chose this ...

We chose to take this short cruise from our home port in the NY area because the price was good. My wife and I sailed on Royal Caribbean once before on Navigator OTS. We have cruised with primarily with Princess and NCL in the past. For this short Adventure cruise, we took our 4 year old daughter along. We booked cabin 7500 which is an "Ultra Spacious Ocean View." The cabin layout is unique and ...

So I booked this cruise for 3 cabins for a total party of 11 people. The boat is nice and seems to be well kept. The food was good and the staff in the dining room was great. They seemed to have a pretty decent handle on the covid thing and they had "guards" lol waiting at the buffet to ensure people washed their hands. Cabins were clean and nice. The ice skating show was incredible! The other ...

Way too crowded.

There were a few good things however the bad significantly outweighed the good. It was way too crowded. The hot tubs and pools were overcrowded. The room was need of repair. Some of the hinges did not work. Also, the service for the room was poor. On one day they did not deliver fresh towels. The food in the windjammer was not great and there was not enough variety. At least the food ...

Neglected old ship. Very disappointed.

We traveled with another couple and chose this cruise mainly because we wanted to leave from NJ and not have to fly to Florida to catch a Caribbean cruise; and also we liked the ports of call. Unfortunately we were disappointed in many respects. Starting with the embarkation terminal in Bayonne NJ, which had poor road signage leading up to it, so that we circled around this industrial area for 20 ...

CRUISE REVIEW: RCCL – Adventurer of the Seas CRUISE DATES – July 2nd – July 7th This is my 9th overall cruise. It was my 4th on RCCL. I travelled with my wife; Pamela. Different people chose cruises for a variety of reasons. Some chose their cruises based on ship amenities, dining options, port interests, affordability, entertainment, staterooms. The Pros & Cons of Adventure of the seas 06/04/22 cruise

We booked this sailing after having a 2020 and 2021 sailing canceled. The weeks leading up to the cruise were stressful with waiting for the Bermuda travel authorizations, Canada travel authorization, covid tests, and then a last-minute phone call (4PM on 06/03) from the cruise company alerting us to a weather change from a cruise to Bermuda to Canada (where the temps were in the low 60-degree ...

Ok trip on the Adventure but RC needs to get it together

I will start by saying we had a good time. A lot of that had to do with simply being on vacation, cruising again and having people caterer to you. However, there were so many issues that make me question whether we had bad luck or RC is cutting costs everywhere. First, embarkation was a disaster. We were told the system was "down". People were standing outside for hours (11-2:30~ish). Systems ...
