My husband and I went on this cruise for our honeymoon and we loved it so much we want to book another trip! We felt very pampered on this trip. The staff on this ship was amazing! The activity organizers were so much fun and there was so much to do on the ship that we were never bored. We played a lot of trivia each day and went to all the game shows. There was always someone there if you needed something on the ship and all the staff was very friendly. You did not even need to get off your but if you wanted a drink. There was always waiters walking around taking orders and bringing drinks. The ship was kept very clean. Our cabin was cleaned twice a day when we were at breakfast and dinner. There was always staff making sure that people washed their hands before entering the buffet. You never saw garbage around because they were always cleaning up and you often saw them scrubbing hand rails, menus, etc. Our room had lots of storage for all of our stuff. We had a balcony room that was very secluded from other balconies. The bed was so comfortable! We slept so good every single night. Our room was right next to the elevators which was great and the rooms were so quiet that you could not hear others in the rooms around you. The food was great. There was a large variety. Every meal in the dining room and specialty restaurants were three course meals. We thought they were very filling. We never went hungry on the ship because there was always something to eat. One of our favorite things was the breakfast food in the windjammer. The ports we went to seemed really safe and getting on and off the ship was simple and quick. We did one shore excursion through the ship and it was great! We would highly recommend the drink package if you are planning to drink. Beers on the ship cost $7 and almost all other drinks cost $12. The deluxe drink package includes as much bottled water you want and as much soda as you want. They have the CocaCola soda machines on the ship that have a variety of different options to choose from. They give you a souvenir cup to use on the machines. Without the drink package the only thing you can get for free on the ship is glasses of water, juice, tea, and coffee from the buffet. Almost all the drinks are $12 or less so they are covered under the drink package. This is for the specialty restaurants too. The only things not covered are Starbucks and some of the more expensive wines. Since we were on our honeymoon the crew gave us a card and left chocolate covered strawberries in our room. We both got $50 gift cards to the Spa as well. We loved that there was an adult only pool area as we were on our honeymoon and did not want to be bothered by children. We would definitely go on this cruise ship again. We chose to take our luggage off the ship on the last day ourselves and we were glad we did because that meant we could get off the ship first. The only thing that was hard for us was finding our airport transfer that we set up before the trip. There was not very good signage for this. There were people standing around that we could ask. I talked a very hesitant friend and her husband into trying a cruise and decided my wife and I should go along. Glad we did. I should first describe my idea of a great cruise...really relaxed. Stayed at the Fortuna hotel pre cruise. Really neat little boutique hotel near the beach. Boarding was effortless. There was no line for Diamond and a short line for general boarding. On board in 10 minutes and a drink in hand. Love the drink package. Had a balcony cabin 7534 with plenty of room and quite comfortable for me. Explored the ship. Had not been on Adventure (although have also been on Navigator and Explorer). Love the ship and the peekaboo bridge. Pool bar was my favorite and Schooner was a close second. All on board meals in the Windjammer (don't like wearing long sleeve pants). No complaints about the food. There was a minor issue when the crew served dessert and plugged the entrance. Cabin service was attentive and no complaints. Requested a daily ice bucket and it was delivered. Labadee was Labadee. The buffet was fine and typical. Already paid drinks are great. Avoided the locals. San Juan is one of my favorite places. The forts weren't open for my friends and wife to see but we had a great hike along the old wall and 2 great meals in town. We were there from 1300-2100. Sint Maarten was up next. We went out to the airport by private cab. It was much more crowded than the last time we were there (likely would find other things to do next time) but it was fun for the first time friends. We stopped for a bit in town after the airport and had a good time strolling the boardwalk. Last port was St. Kitts. My wife and friends did a dolphin excursion while I wandered around the port and town. When they got back we hiked about 10 miles around town. Great fun. Finished with 2 great sea days. The production shows were ho hum. Game shows were fun. We're not late nights so didn't catch much after 2200 except Love and Marriage. Jogging track is a bit short. I went by time and no idea how many laps. The info says 8 laps to a mile (I showed closer to 9). All in all another great cruise on Royal and will definitely return. Stayed at Red Carpet Inn post cruise. Comfortable, ok accommodations. Read Less

This ship was very nice. Very friendly staff and with my son in a wheelchair was very accommodating! Our waiters, Sameer and Ikoman were superb! Would cruise again anytime on this ship! The cabin was spacious and my son was able to get around fine in his wheelchair. The cabin was right off from the elevator which made it easy for us to get where we wanted to go on the ship. There were no lifts into the pool or hot tubs which was a downfall but my son is a paraplegic and was able to transfer to the ledge of the hot tub and with some assistance get himself in. He never went in the pool but I believe he could have done the same as the hot tub. The ship was very in tune to germs - sinks to wash hands before dining in the main room and hand sanitizer everywhere. The excursions were great. Captain Marvins in Grand Cayman is excellent - lifted my son right into their boat in his wheelchair! We had an excellent cruise. Read Less

We chose this cruise as a family get together for the holidays. There were 10 of us in the party. My wife (7 cruises), myself (8), my son of 24 years(7), my daughter of 21 years (7), my wife's parents (3), my son's fiancee (2) and 3 of my daughter's friends (first time cruisers). We all had cabins on the 7th floor on the forward starboard side. Embarkation and disembarkation went extremely smooth with no issues. The agents were able to deal with a couple of issues for the young first-time cruisers and got us through without incident. It took us longer to park the vehicles than it did to get on the ship. Our last cruise was on an Oasis Class ship. We enjoyed this ship much better. It still had the mall, but most of the ship still had access to the ocean which I enjoy. My wife felt as if this ship was her favorite class. It offered many activities, but still didn't feel crowded. Our cabin was all the way forward on the ship and was an Oceanview stateroom. We loved the view from our window, but if you are do not like motion I would not recommend as the last night we had rough seas and my darling wife almost didn't make it. We ate every night in the Main Dining room. We find the meals there to be good. We find no pleasure in pay that much more for the extra dining options. We ate lunch everyday in the Windjammer and breakfast was split between MDR and Windjammer. We found all the choice as good as on land. Dining is still one of the highlights of our cruise. There have been some changes. Instead of being served bread by the assistant waiter, the bread is there waiting on you at the table. This didn't make that big of a difference for me. I went to the casino and gave a fair donation. I was also able to see a young lady win $13,000 so at least someone really liked the casino. Drink service was spotty around the ship at times. I sat at on venue listening to the musician. I was thinking I would purchase a drink before dinner, but was never approached for the 45 minutes I was there. We went to the ice show and we saw the hypnotist and really enjoyed both. We also enjoyed trivia and some of the late night parties and karaoke. We had as much fun on this cruise as any other we had been on. I still find it to be a great value for vacationing and getting away. Royal Caribbean gives you so many options for whatever kind of fun you are looking for that I find it hard to believe that you couldn't enjoy yourself. Read Less

My family chose the cruise line and I'm glad they did. Adventure is a wonderful ship and has a great host of activities to take part in. The ports were exciting and I got to see things I had only had dreams of. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything in the world. The food was really good and there were so many choices along with a variety of good drinks. Our cruise director and activities manager were exceptional and made our cruise the life of the water. This ship is a great choice for 1st timers and those who are cruise experienced. The dining room experience opened my eyes to different cultural outlooks and they were always polite. You have to go aboard to get your own experience versus going by someone else's opinion. I had a wonderful time during this cruise. I will definitely be planning another cruise with RCCL. Read Less

Royal Caribbean delivers with this ship / itinerary and crew! First: Myths from other reviews I have read: 1) Elevators - All were in service for this trip, yes there was some waiting at peak traffic times. Our Trip Embarkation at Fort Lauderdale was seamless. From curbside to Windjammer in roughly 20 minutes. We did as much online registration as we could before arrival (including photo's for the Seapass), and at Platimum travelers, we were on board in no time at all. Labadee Haiti - We hung out on the beach and a few of us did the jet ski excursion. This is good vbalue for your money as we were a solid hour on the water and it you are an experienced rider you get to the front of the pack. I've rented in FL and other Caribbean ports before, and this operation is good value for your money - also, if you have never jet skied before, this is an excellent opportunity to learn. San Juan - We did the "old / new' San Juan tour. This was a nice local ride around the city with the driver stopping at a number of points of interest for photo / bathroom breaks. On this day, he was trying to avoid stopping while it was raining, but overall this one had good value for your $$. St. Martin - We did the 'double decker' tour that included a stop at Maho Beach. This was a good trip - folks on the upper deck were roasted in the sun, however none of this tour was rushed and it was well paced. They did not go to the French side of the island because of hurricaine damade. St. Kitts - We did the 4 x 4 Rain Forest tour that was run by "Greg's Safari"... Greg is a 5th generation resident of St. Kitts, and of all our shore excursions this one was the best! Entertainment: 1) The cruise director, Mercedes, does an excellent job throughout the trip. 2) The Duk & Dog pub had Cat Wells singings & playing the guitar - we saw her about 2 years ago on Freedom and she puts on a great show for the "pub" environment. 3) Schooner Bar had a pianoman by the name of Giovanni. So Giovanni is from Italy and has a obvious accent when speaking, however he puts on an American accent while singing - it took a little getting use to, but he kept the crown engaged. 4) We ate ALL our meals in the Main Dining Room, all were excellent, the right temperature and once again is a sign you don't need to spend extra in a specialty restaurant to enjoy your meal. Head Waiter IDA and Assistant Joanna were a great combination. One night Ida brought his guitar to the MDR and at about the 7:15 mark we had a sing along - others in our group played Ida's guitar and sang - it was a great night. 5) Public areas = well kept. 6) Windjammer, what can I say? Provided you don't want to eat between 12:00 - 12:45, there were usually short wait times and plenty of tables available. 7) Disembarkation... This was a little odd, but not a show stopper. They had a forward and aft meeting areas. Then as you approached the gangway to get off there were 2 security checkpoints facing in each direction. After the checkpoint the opposing lines of passengers had to merge into 1 line to step onto the gangway. At this point it was obvious that some couples and families got seperated for a short time. You spend most of the week walking around the vessel, so why not merge everyone before clearing the security check point? Anyhow, in closing, this vacation, again, exceeded my expectations... Don't sweat the small stuff - enjoy your trip! Read Less

Eight day trip into the Caribbean, nice ports, good ship and overall nice experience. The ship was in good condition and nicely decorated for Christmas. The entertainment was good and diversified. The fitness center was not too crowded which is nice and the equipment was plentiful and varied. We like the promenade design with shops and eateries and the Duck and Dog Pub. Surprisingly they have the suites located on deck 10, just below the activities deck which means you should pick your room carefully or the overhead activity can make the room noisy. Eating in the Windjammer Cafe can be hectic at prime time and specially when there a lot of children aboard. The noise level is very high and is not helped by the constant playing of dreadful noisy music. Eating in the dining room is delightful and the food is generally good and certainly plentiful. Overall very satisfactory trip. Read Less

For a first time we found great interest on this ship due to all it offered which met our expectations and more. The cabin we had gave a panoramic view where we were able to see the water up front and personal, great view at night. The ship was spectacular and able to walk to the helipad area was a great experience. I even walked there at night and was able to stargaze. (If it was to windy, wouldn't of gotten this opportunity, and did). Unforgettable staff and crew members who gave exceptional service beyond imaginable. Dinner was a whole new level of dining, made you feel like you are a king or queen. Throughout the ship all staff were courteous and respectful as well friendly. Activities available Read Less

We decided to take this ship because it was recently refurbished. I think they did a great job & the ship was beautiful! A few things that were different: you do not have to sign for every drink with the drink package. This is good & bad. You dont have to sign, but you can't add additional tips either. They don't have luggage valet to take your luggage to the airport on this ship. We really like that option, especially with a later afternoon flight. We signed up for the shuttle transportation to FLL ($33.50 for 2). We waited in line for 30 minutes & there was no room on the bus for us. We decided to get a Lyft. The Lyft driver arrived before another bus & we were out of the port for $15 including a tip. Don't waste your time or money on the RC Shuttles! The food was good in all locations, Main Dining Room, Windjammer Cafe, Promenade Cafe & specialty restaurants. We bought the 3 meal dining package & ate in Chops Grille twice & Giovanni's another night. Both restaurants were good, but I didnt feel like they were worth the extra money. We didnt get to see every place on the ship, but what we did see was great. We rode the water slides & hung out in the Solarium. This was the first ship that had salt water in the Solarium. There were also lifeguards at all the pools. We've never seen lifeguards before. Read Less

This was one of the best vacations I have ever been on. Let's start with the Schooner Bar staff. The Schooner Bar is my absolute favorite spot on any Royal Caribbean ship, and this trip proved to be no different. Alex, Oleks, Jeirich, and Jomit were OUTSTANDING. Absolutely the highlight of our trip was spending every evening with them in the Schooner Bar. They were fast, helpful, friendly, and they knew our names by night one of the trip. I will absolutely never forget how incredible they made our trip. Custom drinks, jokes and riddles at the bar, and just an all-around amazing experience. I looked forward to spending my evening with them each night before and after dinner. What an incredible staff that venue has - I hope that our review can be shared with them, as there are no possible words to even BEGIN to thank them for everything they did for us that week. My boyfriend (now fiance) and I got engaged on the first night of the trip, and Alex surprised me at the end of the week with a rose he made from a napkin, and it was BEAUTIFUL. Seriously. We were beyond lucky to meet these individuals, and I hope everyone who cruises on that ship in the future has the opportunity to meet that bar team. We managed to find Oleks also working the Pool Bar and the Quest Game Show, and he made sure to also take extra care of us while in other venues. I cannot say enough kind things about these individuals because they're just that fantastic. They kept us loaded up with trail mix snacks, and created many shots for us that they made up or were practicing. Many of my best memories from this trip were with the Schooner Bar staff - Specifically Alex, Jeirich, Oleks and Jomit. Now let's talk about Giovanni, the Schooner Bar performer for the week. HE WAS AWFUL. Again, I spend the majority of my time in the Schooner Bar, and we had to listen to him every. single. night. HE DIDN'T KNOW THE WORDS TO ANYTHING. I wish I was kidding. He made up the words to almost every song if he didn't know it, and then sang those songs every single night with DIFFERENT WORDS. I was done with him from night one. There was one night where he pretended that the original performer of the song he was about to sing just got on the ship and had full conversations with himself pretending to talk to them and then sing in their voices... it was just awful. I would be extremely unhappy to have to sit through more performances of his on any other trip. No one in our party enjoyed it. We ate dinner in the main dining room every night, and had the pleasure of having Maurice and Ajay (Sapphire Dining, Deck 3, Table 128 every night). Our wait staff was a BLAST! We had a great time getting to know them both. Ajay has SUCH a personality and was a joy to talk to at dinner each night. He always kept us full and laughing. We didn't see Maurice as much, but had some great conversations with him when we did. Kareem from the Cruise Director's staff was also awesome! He did a great job with trivia, and befriended us a bit later in the trip. We had a blast participating in activities with Kareem, Isaac, Tami, Sarah and Kelly! They were all fantastic. We did the Rum Tour in Puerto Rico, and honestly hated everything about it. It was an absolutely waste of money. They took us across the street from the port to a restaurant, gave us a 20 minute run-down of Bacardi, made us a tiny drink (choice of rum & coke, Pina Colada or Mojito) in a small plastic cup, gave us a shot of VERY harsh rum, and then called it a day. The tour guide was nice, but the tour wasn't a tour and NOT worth $38. We also did the jet ski tour in Labadee, and I would MORE than recommend this tour to anyone interested. We had the most amazing time! I have never been on a jet ski before, and I could have zipped around those blue waters all day. It was an incredible experience! The ONLY issue I had this week was with Guest Relations onboard. I book every trip through my travel agent, and did so again with this trip. When we didn't receive the bottle when we arrives (but our friend who traveled with us did - she booked through my agent, as well), I went to Guest Relations and spoke with a representative, and she couldn't have been more rude through the entire conversation. When I asked if we were getting the champagne, her response was "Well "insert my travel agent group here" makes a lot of empty promises and I don't see anything in your account about it." I responded with "I'm asking because the friend we are traveling with got her bottle when she first got to her stateroom and she booked through my agent, as well, so that's a bit strange. This is my seventh cruise and I have received it every time, so I just wanted to check." She then checked my friend's account and said "Well I don't know how your friend got it because there isn't anything in her account either." She then looked at me and said "I'll give you a bottle from my department, but you need to understand that you're in no way entitled to it." That statement made me BEYOND angry. I in no way thought that I was entitled to it - I was just asking what had happened, and her response was uncalled for an beyond rude. I then said thank you and walked away, and the bottle arrived in our room that evening. For someone who works for Guest Relations, she could have been much nicer about the situation. By adding her line about being entitled, she made both myself and my fiance extremely angry and upset. It was just very mean and disrespectful. Read Less
