Had a great time on a great ship with great crew!

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

First time cruisers, married couple celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We have traveled plenty over the years including a few trips to the Caribbean, but first cruise and major trip for us without the kids. Choose the 7 day Southern cruise due to the five port stops so as to visit as many islands as possible that we had never been to. San Juan: We made the mistake (in hindsight) in ...

We have cruised via Norwegian and Carnival and wanted to try Royal Caribbean, we have been told that they are the better ships. I chose this cruise because of the ports that it visited. We are more interested in visiting the islands and getting local experiences than lounging on the ship while in port. Adventure of the Seas is a very large ship with multiple activities occurring simultaneously! ...

We are experienced cruisers, but this was the first time we cruised the Southern Caribbean. We loved doing five ports and found this itinerary to be our favorite Caribbean itinerary ever. We booked shore excursions through the cruise line and were not disappointed. We read the online reviews before booking any excursions and were careful to only book highly rated excursions; every single one was ...

So…. allow me to preface this with saying that this was my first cruise. Maybe I saw everything through rose-colored glasses, so take what I write with a grain of salt. But, the truth is, I had a helluva lot of fun. This was my GF’s 4th cruise, and she had as much fun as me, so…maybe there’s something to all of this. Friday We flew on Southworst to San Juan the day before our embarkation, ...

A Great Cruise to Southern Caribbean!

This was our 4th RCL cruise. We booked and enjoyed JS 1244 on the 10th deck. The embarkation went extremely smooth. We had a pre & post stay at the Doubletree Hilton in San Juan. From the time we reached the pier to the pool area was less than 20 minutes. One thing I really liked was the ability to say NO to pictures throughout the cruise. And no offers for a drink before we even got on ...

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and we wanted to try another cruise line (already tried Carnival and Celebrity). I chose very good instead of excellent because we still like Celebrity the best. Every single port was great with Aruba being our absolute favorite from any cruise. This ship had the best port shopping of any we have seen. Juan was fantastic in helping our 14 year old ...

We flew into San Juan the day before our cruise and enjoyed our night at the Hotel Miramar. Highly suggest flying into San Juan the night before in case of lost luggage (which happened to us) or flight delays. There were 7 in our party, 6 of us are Diamond members. When we cruise we do not get caught up in the small things that go wrong, it happens and your better off knowing that with a size ...

The ports were the reason we chose this cruise. But that is the only thing that was worth the trip. Customer service is NON EXISTENT. Never have I been more disappointed in the service at every single level of this ship. It started with no help with your luggage when checking in. Lazy lazy people all around with their hands in the their pockets. Now that the majority of people get the ...

It’s been a minute since I’ve written a review and I’m hoping this one is as informative as some of the ones I’ve read prior to my trip. There are some meals I honestly couldn’t remember what was served, but if I can dig out my Compasses, I’ll let you know. I and a group of 27 family and friends recently sailed the Adventure of the Seas, June 11-18, 2016. A good time was had by all at the ...

Embarkation in San Juan was slow. We should have gotten there later based on other reviews. We got there about 1 PM and there was a line to drop off luggage. We did not know there was another line to then check in. We should have had someone stand in the drop off line and the other in the check in line. Unfortunately, we were outside in the sun/heat for about an hour. Once inside the check ...
