Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

I enjoy cruising and have taken several. We were on a charter Melissa Etheridge "Rock The Boat" music cruise. That part of the cruise was fabulous and we loved that part of it. We did enjoy the casual feel of the cruise and being able to wear shorts to dinner. There were no formal nights. There were bands all over the ship at varying times. If you are interested in music cruises, I highly ...

This cruise was a charter, so many things may have been different. I have cruised over 10 times, but this was my first experience on Royal Caribbean. First of all the ship was nice and airy, a great greeting when we cam on board. Our drink packages were already on the card. (an improvement over Carnival, the same as NCL). We were not greeted with a bunch of "buy this" which was great. ...

This was a charter. I choose it for the entertainment, which was mostly amazing, but not provided by the cruise line. But after hearing three times in just the first day that standard offerings on the ship would not be provided because this was a charter I'd had it. The charter coordinators assured me that should not be the case. Some examples: 4 of 5 nights, the phone in my suite did not work for ...

I joined my best friend, her mother, and her mother's best friend on this cruise. They were all repeat transatlantic cruisers, but this was my first time being recently retired. Our trip started with 5 days in Barcelona, a city that I truly fell in love with, and look forward to returning to. The people, the food, the culture, the artistry, and the history were amazing. We embarked on a ...

My husband and myself celebrating oyr 25th Anniversary first flying to Paris and via train to Barcelona. We toured beautiful Barcelona prior to embarking Brilliance of the Seas...a beautiful ship and our floating Hotel for 14 days. Brillance registration, embarking and stateroom clearance was expedient and departed on schedule. Brillance is easily navigated whether using onboard screened ...

Everything Done to Perfection

Of several TAs we have done over the years, this was one of the best. Our reasons were many: 1) So many nice touches were done for the passengers by the hotel director and other management, e.g. gift hats received, multiple raffles throughout the cruise, open bar sail-aways, welcome drink upon embarkation and bottled water upon disembarkation, etc. 2) Outstanding CD in Clo. If you can get to ...

Ship is pleasant, but Main Dining Room menus could use an upgrade. No order to what they present.....on formal night one of the main entrees was PIZZA ..and the Prime Rib showed up the next night. They don't offer shrimp cocktail on the menu, but if you ask for it - it will be provided. On a 14 night cruise - French onion soup made it to the menu ONCE. It almost seems like they are doing this ...

This cruise was one of the best we have taken with Royal and we have over 50 cruises with them. It was our first transatlantic and the staff went all out. The CD Clo and her staff were wonderful. We had excellent entertainment every night. They gave everyone sailing many free perks. Mimosa when we boarded, free drinks at our sailaways from Barcelona, Gibraltar and San Juan. Special themed ...

Flew into Barcelona and stayed at the Well and Come Boutique Hotel. Toured Barcelona 3 days and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Did an organized tour on Monday morning and then they dropped us off at the terminal. Good experience. Boarding was easy since most of the cruisers were already onboard. Enjoyed our Main Dining Room experience. Food was good and our service was ...

Nice ship with attentive crew. Specialty restaurants, Chopps and Giovanni's were great as usual. We never eat in the dining room, as all we ever get is the 8:30 PM seating, so the alternatives are important. Windjammer and the afternoon sandwich/salad area forward were great. They had some great entertainment, a Beatle tribute band, a very funny comedian, and their orchestra and show ...
