Disappointing Cruise

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

I chose this cruise for me and my two sisters who have never taken a cruise. This cruise line has been my favorite in the past. I am a gold member. it was completely disappointing. Our cabin and cabin attendant were pretty much the best part of the cruise. The communication was terrible. with only the app on our phones, it was difficult to make a plan for entertainment. in the past there ...

I went on this ship because it was the Star Trek cruise. I had been disappointed by the last 2 RCL cruises since COVID and this was about the same. I fear the next cruise I have scheduled in September on the Serenade of the Seas. If it wasn't with four other people in the family I would cancel it. First let me say that the Star Trek part of the cruise rocked! I won't get into it here but I ...

Our favorite ship by far!

Navigator was a ship we had booked back in 2020 for a sailing that was cancelled by COVID so we were excited to finally get onboard. We truly enjoyed the amped ship and the many things to do onboard. We agreed that the layout of the ship was one of our favorites. From the clear glass wind blocks on the upper level to the high ceilings in the dining room with the grand staircase it felt very open. ...

Great Mexican Riviera Cruise

We had a great time on the Navigator of the Seas sailing from February 3-10. It was just my partner and myself and we really enjoyed to entire cruise. We flew in the night before and stayed at the Vagabond Inn in San Pedro. It was clean and we were only there for nine hours to sleep. They do have a free shuttle to the cruise port that runs every 15 minutes, it only took about 5-10 minutes to get ...

We are experienced cruisers with lots of RCL cruises under our belts. This cruise was as expected but a couple of things really left us with less than a positive experience. First the sound volume in the entertainment venues was way to loud, over 90+ DB. Making it loud didn’t make it better. Also they tried to get high tech in the dance club and had rapidly moving coloured spots on the dance ...

I am currently on The Navigator of the Seas, its day six of a seven night Mexico cruise. A couple of months ago I did the same itinerary on Holland America’s Koningsdam. See my review here to compare that ship’s review with what follows below. https://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=693041 To start with I am not a picky cruise reviewer, life is imperfect and I ...

This is my third cruise on RCCL, my wife's first. I almost canceled the trip when I saw the new dining room menus, but fortunately, this trip used the old menus. The service throughout was excellent and several people earned extra tips from us. Among them were Salim, the headwaiter, and Bertha, our cabin attendant. The "larger" balcony cabin (it was 6 sf larger lol!) was comfortable. ...

Traveling with a big group, this is the shortest cruise I've ever taken. This was my 8th with RCL, and I'd always enjoyed the quality of the overall experience. Some differences this time, though. The quality of the food was slipping -- tater tots served with prime rib, 2 shrimp in the shrimp cocktail, a very bready French onion soup -- but I still appreciated the menu on a cruise that was a ...

2nd cruise on the Navigator in a year, our last cruise was at the tail end of COVID and was amazing! The ship was full this cruise but still felt like we have plenty of space and not too crowded. This trip was with 10 family members and was lots of fun, the embarkation process was not as quick or simple as before which was a shock to me (Seemed like a mad rush when the port staff decided to let ...
