The time in Glacier Bay was a highlight. The naturalist and park representatives did an excellent job providing commentary when we were at sea.
The entire crew was friendly and helpful throughout the cruise.
The food was average. It was nice to have so many items from which to select. The omelettes were a highlight. Also, the salads were fresh and crispy.
The cabin was in poor ...
The cruise was nice and the view of the glaciers was fantastic. The overall service of the crew was good. Thank you for such a good service to us.
However, the first show in the Princess Theatre on 19th July, 2017 was not a nice experience to Chinese women. In the talk show at 9:45 p.m., the male speaker (humourist?) talked about Chinese women walking through him several times. He did not ...
ship was old - worn holes in chair in room - carpet had worn spots - carpet was coming apart in doorways - mold in shower - food in main dining room was boring & tasteless - showers very small - the only thing that I can say I liked about the cruise were the beds - very comfortable - doubtful we will ever go on a Princess cruise again - help was not that friendly, almost like they were too busy to ...
8 adult family members traveling together on a cruise for the second time. The first was on the NCL Pride of America in 2015 to Hawaii.
For this trip, my mother-in-law selected the Princess "Voyage of the Glaciers" because of the option to add the land tour. 4 of the family did not take the land tour. My husband and in-laws and I added the 3 day extra option, and arrived in Fairbanks on ...
Chose this cruise because we wanted to see and visit Alaska. Princess, owned by Carnival, owns the land tour aspects, trains, buses, lodges, etc. Pretty well organized for handling large crowds.
Ship was fine, scenery was great, excursions varied in interest and cost. Some excursions were worth the money some were not. The air flight from Denali to the arctic circle is way too expensive. ...
Left from Vancouver for a northbound to Alaska. Visited Ketchikan, Skagway and Juneau and ending in Whittier.
We booked our own excursion in Ketchikan and it didn't go well. So we just walked around town. This would be a great port to fly to a glacier or something like that. There's not much to the town at all. We ate at Fish Pirates. I thought it was extremely expensive and the food ...
This is a trip we would recommend to anyone. This was a 10 day with 3 day land beginning on 6/25 in Anchorage and ending in Vancouver. We booked through Costco which is always hassle free. The one thing we didn't realize is that virtually everything is Princess. The lodges, the motor coaches and even the railway. Everything was incredibly seamless and went like clockwork.
The Princess Lodges in ...
This was my first long cruise (a 3 day Carnival cruise to Ensenada was my first). This cruise was an amazing trip overall. I was travelling with 10 people (my parents (2 adults), my family (2 adults, 2 children ages 11 & 8, and my sister's family (2 adults, 2 children ages 5 & 3)).
Day 1: Our flight in to Vancouver came in later than expected so we boarded the ship just before sailing. Pro: ...
Back to Back cruises on the Island Princess from Vancouver to Whittier, June 21 and Whittier to Vancouver, June 28, 2017.
These were our 15th and 16th cruises in Alaska.
We live in northern California, about 120 miles north of San Francisco. The weather was very hot the day we left home (106 degrees), so we left at 4 AM and stopped to visit friends in the Redwood City area for a few hours ...
Let me start off with we decided to take a cruisetour with Princess to Alaska since it allowed us to see the Alaska panhandle and Denali National Park. The land portion was very good. The food and service was excellent as was the coordination efforts of our escort/guide. Michael was great.
On the other hand, the cruise portion was very below average. We paid for an up-charge dining at the ...
