We have just returned from 7 nights on the Costa Mediterranea. This was our first cruise and we were really nervous. WOW, We have no problems whatsoever. The whole experience was fabulous. We embarked at Heraklion Crete (Not Yokohama as above Crete not on the list of options) and sailed to Santorini,Israel, Turkey, Cyprus and Rhodes before arriving back in Crete. The ship was spotless. It ...

This was the 1st time we had sailed with Costa and it will be our last. The worst meals on board were dinner, if you didn't like the food served in the restaurant you were pretty stuck as the buffet restaurant wasn't open in the evening. The food wasn't that great in the restaurant most of the meat dishes didn't come with vegetables or salad, the food was luke warm some were cold you had to ...

We stayed in Barcelona prior to our cruise and took a taxi to the port, upon arrival we were very excited to see a large gleaming white ship in front of us to then realise that wasnt our ship..ours was the small very outdated looking one at the far end of the dock.. Boarding was quick & easy.. upon arrival on the ship no one was there to greet us or to show us to the cabin it was a case of find ...

Boarded the Costa Meditterranea in Savona, as part of a group of 90 people. Embarkation was smooth and fast. The ship is very opulently done up. We travelled with 2 teenagres. Our cabins ( both) were on deck 6, balcony with ocean view. Superb cabins, very clean, comfortable and luxurious. I was pleasantly surprised to find a hairdryer too in the cabin. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We ...

terrible experience

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Costa Mediterranea

The ship : it is decorated in the typical Carnival Style, it looks exactly like a floating carnival of rio. The pools : freezing, small. The hot tubs : cold and full of children half the time (when they were not eating) The food : like the one at home, often what remained from previous meal showed up again. The original food was good but the good things finished and were not replaced, most of ...

Costa Mediterranea : the Luna Park boat

I have travelled with my husband, we got a "premium cabin" thinking that the amount you pay more than a classic cabin, is worth the expense. We got a cabin right in front of the hot tubs engine room: a constant loud engine whining from 07.00 until 21.00hrs. The cabin crew : spectacular, even if visibly reduced, they managed to clean and very well our cabin twice daily, finding also the time to ...

Costa Mediterranea provides a terrific Caribbean cruise!

The embarkation was as smooth as can be - "sailed" right through! The ship is absolutely gorgeous with fine attention to detail - Roman but not overdone. The ship is well maintained and very clean. The service is exceptional. We found the entertainment to be varied and first rate. The Italian tenor sang popular arias and received a standing ovation at both performances! Our cabin steward ...

Embarkation was at 1pm so gave us plenty of time to arrive at port. Flew in day of cruise on non-stop cruise from Montreal. We normally book way in advance of our cruise, but this time my husband came across a deal we could not pass by. 10 day cruise to the Caribbean starting in Miami with 1st stop Nassau, Bahamas followed by 5 other Caribbean ports. The Costa Mediterranea ship is in ...

Costa Holiday Cruise - Meditereanea

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Costa Mediterranea

Please keep in mind we went into this reasonably informed with very low expectations. I'd read a few terrible recent reviews and hadn't found one good review. I hoped the ones I found were by stuffy people with high expectations. My hopes were dashed almost immediately. I cried in Cozumel (our last port) because I didn't want to get back on this horrid boat. Even at a discount this was the most ...

We booked last minute, got a very good deal, but got obstructed view veranda "guarantee". We got upgraded to an aft-facing Grand Suite with a huge wrap-around balcony, which was a very pleasant surprise. Our cabin was well-appointed and impeccably clean. It came with a number of extras. No complaints here. Another nice surprise: we were astounded with how quickly luggage was delivered to the ...
