Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

First, we cannot emphasis enough that this was a fantastic cruise and would go again at the drop of a hat. But i will make some comments that may be of interest to others. 1. Passengers have to be back on ship 30mins before departure - not 2 hours that has been suggested . This is important information in planning excursions. 2. The port of Livorno has no "walk off port". You have to take a ...

Cabin was dirty and bathroom moldy and smelled terrible. The cabin steward tried to hide the smell with one of those deodorizes, then it smelled like a public restroom! We told them him and guest services , it seemed no one cared? We hated being in our cabin! All of the public places where scarred from use and not very clean. The whole ship was in great need of upgrading! If this is ...

Out of 10 with comments - Overall good but some issues

Overall ship condition = 7/10 -- decore should be changed - Asian theme seemed cheezy to me -- small items such as rust in shower (cabin 5002) could be addressed Pool = 1/10 == not near enough room / lounge chairs === policy of saving chairs needs to be addressed / red stickers policy NOT communicated to passengers and enforced -- saw actual confrontations between passengers over lounge chairs ...

Based on ports not the ship itself! Norwegian Spirit 12 day Mediterranean

I'm a experienced cruiser. I Loved the ports. Not many lines that offer this great of a itinerary! The ports is why I chose this sailing. The ship was... Meh but I didn't go on this cruise for their food or entertainment. If your sole purpose is to eat on the ship and go to every show then this may not be the ship for you. If your goal is to eat in port and utilize every moment you can in port ...

12 Day Mediterranean Cruise Venice to Barcelona

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

My husband and Itook this trip as cruise of a lifetime. Although this Ship is the oldest in the NCL fleet, we were attracted by the itinerary. We were not disappointed. After being on previous cruises on much newer and larger ships, we enjoyed the quaintness of the Spirit. It was a change from having to deal with much larger crowds. Although the room decor was a little dated, all in all the cabin ...

This is our 4th cruise, but it is our first on NCL. We chose this particular cruise for the itinerary but a little leery because we had heard that NCL isn't as good as Royal Caribbean or Holland America. Everything went very smoothly from boarding in Venice, right through to disembarking in Barcelona. We stayed at the Hotel Olimpia, very near the port. I highly recommend this hotel, as well. In ...

Where do I start, This cruise was our 73rd and the worst one we have ever sailed on. We picked this one for a family holiday and mainly because of it,s itinerary. The ports were fabulous and nothing bad to say about any of them. Now the disaster, First of all the ship is very old and not kept up at all. A musty smell was through out the ship and old ripped furniture was not invited ...

Amazing cruise... 14 days ONE way Barcelona to Venice. You can not beat the itinerary - it is very cool and a very good value for how many stops. Not many cruise ships go to France, Italy, 2 stops in Greece, 2 stops in Turkey, Croatia and Montenegro and end in Venice! Is this ship or NCL perfect? Of course not - but I knew this going into the cruise. You really need to look at what you ...

Great Itinerary on a Below Average but Passable NCL Ship

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

We took this 14 day cruise for 1 reason, the ports which included Kotor and Dubrovnik which are not normally on their itinerary. Other than a special cruise with these ports I would probably not go on this ship unless it was really inexpensive but if you fly from North America or down under you have probably spent so much on airfare saving money by taking this ship is probably not the best way to ...

Sailed july 6-20 barcelona to venice. Room 5016 OX CAT Arrived at the port at 11 and boarded by 1115. We ate at the buffet. The room was ready by 1 pm. Overall experience was terrific. I met a lot of great people thanks to the roll call. We shared tours in each port which were fantastic. I highly recommend italytoursharing.com for the italy ports. I liked Doria tours in dubrovnik. ...
