Family Fun Time on a Fun Ship
"We selected a Carnival Valor cruise, because the New Orleans port was easy for all of us to get to and a five-night cruise seemed to be the right length for both the first-time cruisers and the "gold status" cruisers.First time I ever paid attention to the name of the cruise director, but Tyler was AWESOME, and so was the rest of his "fun squad" team...."Read More

Carnival Review Our first cruise and I said to my wife, trying to explain the level of failure and the level of care regarding the buffet quality is basically saying if Walmart had a buffet, this would have been it, and Luby’s would probably still have given them a run and still lost. The food was absolutely the most disgusting thing I have ever seen attempted to be put as meals, and that’s ...

The steak house was fantastic little pricey but worth it the buffet needs work. Went on 2 excursions 1st too the myan ruins lots of walking and climbing so if you have back or leg issues I don't recommend, 2 vip Beach trip well worth the money food and staffing just fantastic. Spa was great got the body scrub and massage lasted 50 minutes. Karaoke was a blast everyone there was very supportive of ...

Because of the date. The fact it was leaving New Orleans. Price, Itinerary. Then come to find out it was also Mardi Gras, woohoo!!! The staff was friendly. Our cabin steward Johnni, was awesome. Val our cocktail waitress at The Red Frog Pub was the Best. We had a great waiter in the Main dining room who was very entertaining and personable,,, I wish I could remember his full name,,, began with ...

We took this cruise for a quick get away. I have been cruising Carnival for years. This is an older ship but that does not bother me. Any day at sea is better than being home. I had 2 major issues on this cruise. 1st issue my linen on my bed was dirty. There were 6 layers of mattress pads sheets and a topper. I slept hard the first night and pulled my sheets off of the bed and that is when I ...

This was mine and my fiance's first ever cruise for the both of us. We really enjoyed the comedy shows, especially the big one the last night of sailing. The 'how to make towel animals' seminar was a fun little expo (special recognition to the gentleman who ran that event, he was really upbeat, cheerful, and funny). The dining experiences were really good and we loved our waiter(s), they were both ...

The only reason I am giving this 2 stars is because we had an Amazon cabin steward, the bar tenders at the Red Frog on the Lido Deck were friendly, and the manat the Java station knew my husbands name. The food in the dining room was good, and so was guys burgers. The food on the buffet was horrible and it was yhe same every night. The staff was rude and if you asked them where something was they ...

This was my first, and possibly last, cruise. The Good: 1) Excellent staff. Friendly, helpful and patient at all times. Even at 3am when I couldn't sleep that one night and wandering to the deck, I was greeted with a friendly smile and "Good Morning". 2) WAY comfortable beds. Except for one night, slept very well, even in 20-foot seas. The BAD: (brace yourself) 1) Food was pig ...

We booked this cruise for our anniversary 2 years prior & were SO excited. This is my 8th cruise and my husband’s 1st. It was underwhelming to say the least. The decor & design was tacky in the public rooms and the staterooms. The service was SO poor (besides in the atrium bar & dining room). The lido deck was superrrr tiny. The bartenders (especially on the lido deck) treated us like we were a ...

Went on this cruise line with my boyfriend and his family. PROS: -Staff on the ship was very friendly and they provided a good quality service. -Room service and housekeeping was great! Our stateroom was nice and cozy. -Guy’s Burger Joint provides tasty hamburgers and fries. -The lobster rolls were also pretty good. -We enjoyed most of the drinks at the pub and ...

Carnival is still struggling to get things right

In an attempt to boost margins, they have cut out quite a few things and many things are out of order. Notables: • 3 Ice Cream Machines where out of order simultaneously • Guys Burgers no longer seems to use the hand cut fries (3rd cruise in a row, without them • Most of the burgers have sat out so long or are charred, you can only eat the "middle" (get two or three and throw the rest ...
