Disappointing!

Review for a Asia Cruise on Nautica

We were so disappointed from the moment we were shown to our stateroom. The room was very dirty...sticky spots on carpet, black, greasy handprints on bathroom door and the shower had black soap scum all around the shower base. When brought to their attention they asked for an add'tl 2 hr. For a clean-up. The room was dated and incredibly tiny with a bathroom so small you could not p/u a bar of ...

Stayed at Marriott Tang before the cruise on Orchard Road, beautiful place. A must visit is the Gardens by the Sea at the Marina Bay Sands resort complex, and Ce La Vie restaurant on the 49 th floor with spectacular views. Also highly recommended is the Jim Thompson Thai restaurant on Demsey Hill. The Jim Thompson store is a short taxi ride from the ship dock in Khlong Toei, which is only a few ...

Nautica Still Excellent

After reading some of the reviews on Cruise Critic we were a bit apprehensive about whether the high standards of our two previous Nautica cruises would be maintained, since the NCL acquisition. We need not have worried! The ship was clean, crew were great, and the food was excellent, even though the menu did get a bit repetitive towards the end of the cruise. Our fellow passengers were a ...

Oceania Cruises can't be beat.

We returned last week from our sensational Oceania cruise from Singapore to Hong Kong, with stops in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. Oceania consistently offers a superior cruise experience. Since my last Oceania cruise, I think they even improved the food, and I didn't think it was possible to improve on the food. The service, the staff, the food and everything else about the ship was ...

Ship and food disappointing; itinerary was excellent.

We were very disappointed in two aspects of this cruise. One, the staterooms were old, small and outdated. We paid for a concierge-level verandah, which we do on all cruises we take. The room was smaller than we are used to, and the bathroom was awful. The bathroom was similar to airplane bathrooms with the addition of a small shower which was nearly impossible to turn around in and not possible ...

Smooth embarkation at Singapore. Rooms compact but comfortable and very clean. Bathroom on the small size but adequate. Worth booking concierge or above for the extra perks ie free WIFI of 500 minutes and extra specialty restaurant bookings. Drinks are expensive, however Oceania is lenient when bringing some alcohol for cabin consumption onboard. Mini bar is loaded with soft drinks of your choice. ...

The itinerary is outstanding with visits to exotic ports and beautiful islands. The Nautica is the perfect ship for this cruise. The cruise is long but the days go fast. The days at sea are welcome for relaxing and getting a tan. The weather was generally warm and sunny. The Nautica is known for great food and friendly service. I only decided to pick this cruise ship after a good review from my ...

Cape Town to Singapore on Oceania's Nautica

We chose this trip for the itinerary, never haven't been to any ports on this cruise. We were not disappointed. Our booking included a 3 day pre-cruise tour package. This was excellent for folks like us who had not visited South Africa before. We got out of Cape Town into the East Cape Wine lands, to a private game park, Aquila ,the 2nd day, and toured Cape Town itself the 3rd day. We ...

This was our third cruise with Oceania and having experienced Riviera we were a little concerned at how we would enjoy such a long cruise on a small ship. Overall we had a great time, with the food outstanding as ever in the Grand Dining Room, Toscana, Polo Grill and the wonderful Terrace Cafe. The staff were outstanding, and they really made our trip. We loved the itinerary, too, though there ...

First Cruise on an R Class Ship

Review for a Africa Cruise on Nautica

User Avatar

6-10 Cruises • Age 50s

This is our first cruise on an R-class ship. Our previous cruises were on the larger O-class. Pre-cruise communications from Oceania were abysmal. A lot of uncertainties and confusion with regards to things like yellow fever vaccination, Mozambique visa, the special discounted $99 pre-cruise tours, etc. And different travel agents have different and conflicting information from ...
