I paid $20,000 for this trip. What I got was
1. An extremely tiny room
2. An RV sized bathroom
3. A prepaid beer/wine program at over $500 that would not provide me with more than one drink at a time because my wife (not on the program) might take a sip. This is both rude and childish.
4. Room service with a scowl.

This is a very personal view of the cruise based on our previous experiences.
This cruise ship is very smart. Very well looked after and spotless clean. Posh. Upper class. Pretentious. It seemed to me that it was trying very hard to be something it is not. Everything is very, very expensive. For instance:

I was disappointed at first that I wasn't able to get a room with a balcony but our ocean view room was perfect and I'm glad we didn't spend the extra money! Everything about this trip was fantastic. The idea of 18% added on to all purchases is anathema to us but we decided we would not purchase anything that involved this charge.
