Dining at sunset on formal night. We dressed but many folks did not. We wished we didn't also (less clothes to pack!)

Just sailed on the Independence of the Seas, very nice cruise. This was our 2nd time in 7 months on the ship. Let me start by saying getting on the ship was very easy, we have priority boarding so within 15 minutes we were aboard. We chose "My Time Dining", same waiter every night exceptional service. Food was very good and served hot, only comment sometimes it took a little longer to ...

There were 6 adults and 2 kids ages 12 and 8. We decided on this cruise because it offered a lot of activities for all ages. Embarkation was very quick. We were on the ship within an hour (maybe less) of arriving at the port. Once on board we went to the champagne bar to buy our drink passes and then we went to the buffet lunch. It was crowded but not too bad. The food was ok. There was a lot of ...

Let me start off by staying that I was a huge fan of Royal Caribbean. I convince everyone to cruise with this ship over Norwegian and carnival. My family and friends was a group of 10 with 3 cabins. We were told that we would be linked together for dinner , that did not happen. The first night my friend went down to guest services and waited for 5 minutes for them to tell her in 30 seconds, they ...

We have been sailing Royal Caribbean for many years. Our last cruise was on Vision of the Seas and we had a very poor experience. We decided to give RCCL one more shot and decided on The Independence of the Seas. First off it is a beautiful ship, but obviously a beautiful ship helps but does not makeup the total experience. The staff put together for this ship is excellent. The Wait staff was ...

We decided at the last of Mar. to look into a "last minute" cruise. Researched several and decided to go for this 5 day Western on RCCL. Decided to go as inexpensive as we could so we took a inside gty. We were in fact pleasantly surprised to get a room midship on deck 9. The room is for sleeping and clothes changing. It was however quiet and verrrrry dark at night or day. This was our last time ...

Great Value for the Money

Having just come off Allure in February, we decided to book this as a last minute inexpensive cruise. From the perspective of value for money, we got more than our monies worth. We have only sailed on 7 and 8 day cruises in the past so I was curious to see what differences exist on a 5 day cruise. First of all, there is no Crown and Anchor event for Gold members but they did offer a Top Tier ...

Royal Caribbean, never say never, but!

After a reasonable coach transfer to the port, we entered the terminal and were met with what seemed to be the entire compliment of 4000 passengers standing in line waiting for security processing and once through that another long line waiting zigzag style for their sea pass and room assignments, little did we know that these lines were apparently a taste of things to come. Everything, and I do ...

Just Average for RCCL

Went on a 4 night cruise with 7 other couples. Been on RCCL 25 times prior and this ship twice. Embarkation took 10 minutes to get on the ship. Cabin was ready and was typical of RCCL. Balcony decent sized. Bed comfortable and AC worked. We were midship. Windjammer was ok each time and I ate a steady diet of their white meat chicken burgers. Breakfast and dinner was typical RCCL fare. Menus have ...

Great Long Weekend.

This was a great long weekend getaway. The ship is in great shape, easy to get around, there's plenty to do and the staff are wonderful. Our cabin was on the 8th floor and promenade facing but there was never any noise, those cabins are pretty soundproofed. Our cabin steward was Dolores and she was exceptional, our cabin was always clean and we always had fresh ice. Embarkation in Ft Laud was ...
