Epic Exceeded My Expectations

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

Prior to this cruise I hadn't sailed NCL in a dozen years due to dissatisfaction at the time. The Western Med itinerary/pricing drew me back as I figured I wouldn't be on the ship much. Well, NCL has vastly improved and I loved the service, food, and ship activities. The public spaces were excellent for the most part. I wasn't a big fan of the cabin layout but it wasn't terrible. My ...

We were able to up bid from the mini suite to the 2bedroom Haven and was very pleased with the upgrade. Special treatment on both embarkation and disembarkation making it a breeze to get on and off the ship. The Have restaurant was great along with the special dinning package which gave you a good variety of food to choose from. Our cruise was tour intensive leaving 4 mornings prior to ...

We had one full day in Barcelona, and would go back in a heartbeat! What a beautiful city. So much to see and do and look at. Something for everyone! We had an AirB&B at Plaza Reial, absolutely great! Went to sagrada the familia. Also, went to see the fountain show at the mountain of Muntjic. Beautiful! Neat to see! Wandered through the city on the morning of our embarkation (sunday) ...

My adult daughter and I were meeting up in Barcelona & decided to go on a cruise. I'd decided on The Haven suites, probably a 1 BR, but I ended up getting an amazing price on a 2 BR suite - cheaper than the 1 BR! Cabin was unbelievably spacious and had the most storage space I've ever seen. Cabin technically sleeps 6, & that might be a tad crowded if they're all adults, but for 2-4 it's fabulous. ...

My husband and I decided that we wanted to take a cruise this year to celebrate my 50th birthday. We found a small gay group online that had this ship and itinerary and this being our first cruise, we thought it would be better to go with a group of people that while we did not know, we would be familiar with. We initially were in a mini suite with balcony, but about 45 days before departure, ...

The ideal way to tour ITALY

Travel Connections travel agent Nanette Campbell suggested this as our group's next ideal vacation; a bargain for the value received. Most everything was GREAT on this cruise ship. We would like to offer the following for improvement: 1) Due to the pricing we found it a better value to book our excursions thru an outside firm, Viator, and that was a good move. 2) We left the ship everyday to ...

I have sailed Celebrity, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Holland America and Carnival for a total of 28 cruises and had not heard great things about Norwegian so had never sailed with them, however, the ports of call for this cruise were fabulous so 10 of my high school friends and I gave them a try. I feel led to set some expectations for anyone thinking about Norwegian. -Any wine you bring ...

Big Ports, BIG Ship

NCL Epic was sailing to the ports we wanted to visit, on the schedule we wanted, at a cost we were happy with. We are previous NCL cruisers. The first thing we encountered was a very swift registration process at the dock in Civitavecchia. It was one of the best experiences we have ever had. The downside was, the walk from the registration area to the ship was a long way (I have mobility ...

The cruise chose me and not vice versa and it came with the package of the travel agency. We were skeptical at the beginning since we had bad experience in the Bahamas in a cheap claustrophobic cabin. Was pleasantly surprised this time with our stateroom balcony on the thirteenth floor. The view was splendid. The cabin was spacious and convenient. The ship was fun as NCL always is. Wish the ...

Not impressed

We belong to RCI travel club, they recommended this cruise. We have been on several cruises before and this by far has been the worse. The food was inferior and the choices of food was not good, if you didn't like pizza or pasta most days you were out of luck. There was not much variation of food. Seems like every other day the menu was the same. The service was mediocre at best, the ...
