First time cruising with Oceania and definitely won't be the last. The food was amazing, the staff was very attentive and with only one child onboard there was a whole level of calm that I have never experienced on a cruise before.
I don't dislike children, but also don't want to vacation with other people's children, so there was an entire layer of chaos removed immediately. I could tell the ...
Found all the ports interesting and accessible from the ship. Cartagena a small city was beautiful and interesting to stroll through right off the ship. Ditto Cadiz. Malaga was breathtaking. We took five excursions with Oceania -- all interesting and well-organized.
Honfleur was wonderful to stroll through. We took a specialized private tour with Overlordtour to the Canadian D-day landing ...
30+ cruises on various lines, second cruise on the Marina. We chose this cruise for the itinerary and were not disappointed. Great ports of call and plenty of time in port to explore the area.
Ship:
The ship was very clean and well maintained. Public areas are beautifully decorated. Embarkation and disembarking were very smooth. The ship is well laid out and is easy to get around. We never ...
We loved the ship, the service was impeccable and the food was very good. I would have to say the food in the main dining was better than the specialty restaurants except for Red Ginger and Jacques which were excellent. The service on board was top notch. We were promised free unlimited internet but were never able to even get to the server and when we did it was impossible to get email and ...
Loved this cruise itinerary, great ports. This was our 5th cruise with Oceania, all on the Marina. We noticed food to be exceptional as always in Red Ginger and Jacques but sub-par to what we have experienced previously in Polo and Toscana. Filet steak in Polo was mediocre and Veal Entree (Piccata) in Toscana was inedible (no flavor to the meat or sauce). Very disappointed... On a positive note, ...
We were very curious about Oceania, and all the brochures that were piling up from the mail piqued our interest as well. We actually thought we were their targeted demographic; our WSJ had brochures enclosed weekly. Also, a few years ago, while at an awards ceremony on another line, the well-traveled couple next to us suggested we'd love Oceania. So on May 21, there we were, efficiently boarding ...
This was our first cruise on Oceania. We chose this ship because of the itinerary, and for that reason it was excellent. At 70, we were probably about average in age, if not on the younger side - there were very few passengers under 50. Dress was generally on the casual side of "country club casual", with women better dressed than men. The ship is well presented, but some maintenance issues ...
This was our third time on Marina and fifth with O. Service and food slipping a bit since they were bought by Norwegian. Food very inconsistent even in each restaurant. Still good but a little less so. Great itineraries make it first choice though. Will give hard look at others or next cruise. Size of ship just right although we prefer their smaller ones like Regatta. Starting to hsell junk ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary, only. The reviews of the food on board did not interest us, after all, we could eat great food at home. The reviews of the service did not interest us because we stay in 5 star hotels and receive plenty of great service. This was our thought. And our last few cruises had disappointed us so greatly that we had turned to private expedition land travel. ...
This was our first trip on Oceania, and the Marina staff made this an extremely enjoyable voyage. The specialty restaurants were outstanding. In comparison to another luxury line we have sailed on, we did find the lunch buffet to be limiting for us and not the quality we've experienced previously. Breakfast options had a great variety, but lunch often had scaled down gourmet offerings, but ...
